The JBIMS 2026 selection criteria will be released by the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies on its official website. As per the JBIMS admission criteria 2026, students must participate in the DTE Common Admission Process, which will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra (DTE, Maharashtra). Students will be able to find the detailed JBIMS selection criteria 2026 on the official website @ jbims.edu .

To be eligible for the JBIMS Mumbai admission process 2026, students must have participated in the JBIMS entrance exam, like MAH MBA CET, CAT, or CMAT etc. Students must have scored marks in accordance with the JBIMS CAT cutoff to be eligible for the JBIMS 2026 selection criteria. In addition to this, students must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university to be eligible for an MMS course at JBIMS Mumbai.

Students must have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA (45% marks for SC/S/OBC/PwD students belonging to Maharashtra state only). Since the total intake for the JBIMS MMS course (Master’s in Management Studies) is only 150-160, the JBIMS GMAT cutoff, or the JBIMS CAT cutoff, is more than 99 percentile every year.

JBIMS Mumbai Eligibility Criteria 2026

Students must note that the JBIMS MMS course eligibility criteria require students to have appeared for the JBIMS entrance exam. Students must clear the JBIMS CAT cutoff or the JBIMS GMAT cutoff to be considered for the JBIMS admission process 2026. Here is the detailed JBIMS Mumbai 2026 eligibility criteria:

Master of Management Studies

  • You must have a Bachelor’s degree of a minimum of three years duration in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/S/OBC/PwD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956.
  • If you are a final year bachelor’s degree student or are due to appear for an equivalent qualification examination, and/or have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results, you can also apply. In such cases, you must have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent till the latest examination.

Part-Time MMS

  • In addition to the Bachelor's degree requirement, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience (supervisor or executive level) as of 15th June (Current Year) after Graduation.
  • Self-employed candidates are required to submit copies of their submission of Income Tax Returns (Last Three years), Registration of the company, and/or a copy of the Partnership Deed in which the applicant’s name should be mentioned, proving the required experience of the candidate.

JBIMS Expected Cutoff 2026

After each round of DTE CAP, JBIMS Mumbai releases the cutoff scores. The JBIMS cutoff 2026 for each counselling round is released separately. Students can take a look at the JBIBS Mumbai expected cutoff 2026 as given below:

JBIMS Selection Process 2026

In order to be selected for JBIMS Mumbai admission, you need to participate in and clear various stages of assessment. The selection process for JBIMS is done in two phases for all types of programmes. Check the table below for reference:

Candidates are shortlisted based on their overall performance in CAT, CMAT or MAH MBA CET. Based on the entrance exam scores, candidates are shortlisted for the DTE CAP if they meet the JBIMS cutoff.

If allotted a seat at JBIMS, candidates are then called for personal assessment where they have to clear the subsequent selection process rounds like Group Activity, Writing Ability Test, and Personal Interview before being considered for final admission.

Part-Time Programmes

Selection is done on the basis of the selection test conducted by the institute. The first stage of the selection test is the Common Entrance Test, based on which you will be selected for the next phase.

In Phase 2, the candidates have to clear the Group Discussion round to be selected for part-time courses at JBIMS.


JBIMS has structured the weightage of every component in both rounds, i.e. AR and IPA. Candidates must do well in both rounds to secure a seat at JBIMS Mumbai.

    JBIMS Final Selection Process 2026-26

    The JBIMS Mumbai final selection process is carried out after both the rounds, i.e., AR and IPA are done. After that, all the components of both rounds add up to the total composite score of the candidate based on the weightage of each of the components. Each candidate is awarded a composite score for the final selection. Here is how the composite score is calculated:
