JoSAA Counselling for Admission to IIITs
JoSAA is responsible for the centralized counselling and seat allocation process for 23 IIITs, 31 NITs (National Institutes of Technology), and other JEE Main Participating Institutes 2026 participating institutes. After the JEE Mains results for session 1 and session 2 are announced, qualified candidates need to register for JoSAA counselling. During JoSAA counselling, candidates are required to fill in their preferred choices of institutes and courses. The seat allocation is done based on the candidate's JEE Mains rank, category, and the availability of seats in the desired course at a particular IIIT. Once a seat is allocated, candidates need to accept the seat by paying the seat acceptance fee and completing the online reporting process.
