The eligibility criteria are primarily the same for nearly all AP ICET colleges, however, candidates must make sure to check the official website of their preferred colleges to make sure they meet all the necessary admission criteria. The eligibility criteria for AP ICET accepting colleges are mentioned below:

  • Candidates must be Indian Nationals and they should satisfy the local/non-local status requirements mentioned in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974.
  • Candidates must have passed a three or four-year bachelor’s degree course or must have passed an equivalent qualifying examination in the 10+2+3/4 pattern as recognized by U.G.C. (University Grants Commission).
  • Candidates applying for MBA admissions are required to have a bachelor’s degree and they must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST and other reserved category candidates) from a recognized university. Additionally, the Bachelor’s degree course duration must be at least 3 years.
  • Final year Bachelor’s degree students are also eligible to apply for AP ICET. However, for such students, requisite documents must be submitted within the specified time or their admission will be cancelled.
  • For candidates who have obtained the qualifying degree through an open university or a distance learning program, their corresponding degrees and qualifications must be recognized by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE, and DEC/DEB.

AP ICET Counselling Process 2024

The AP ICET counselling process is the final stage in the entire admission process. It is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education for candidates who wish to seek admission through the AP ICET exam. Candidates who meet the qualifying cutoff for the AP ICET exam and also satisfy the eligibility criteria will be able to apply to colleges through the counselling process. It must be noted that seat allotment through AP ICET counselling is not guaranteed for candidates who merely meet the AP ICET qualifying cutoff and eligibility criteria. The AP ICET Counselling process is mentioned in detail below.

Counselling Stage Details

Stage 1 - Release of Counselling Notification

  • The beginning of the AP ICET counselling process will be announced in a notification from the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, which will include the candidates' date-wise rankings.
  • Candidates must show up in person at the counselling session for registration, certificate verification, and the schedule for exercising options on the scheduled dates.

Stage 2 - Counselling Registration (icet-sche.aptonline.in)

  • Candidates will need to visit the AP ICET official website - icet-sche.aptonline.in
  • Select the ‘Candidate Registration’ link on the official website
  • Enter the AP ICET Hall Ticket Number and Date of Birth.
  • The "Submit" button must be clicked by candidates after they have entered all required information.
  • The basic information about the candidate, including their email address and mobile number, will then be shown. Candidates must verify their information, and those who qualify for reservations must present the necessary documents and choose the correct Minority option.

Stage 3 - Processing Fee Payment (icet-sche.aptonline.in)

  • After providing the necessary information candidates can proceed with paying the processing fee.
  • The General Category processing fee is Rs. 1,200, while the SC/ST category processing fee is Rs. 600.
  • The processing fee for the counselling process must be paid online, either through internet banking or with a credit or debit card.
  • Following a successful transaction, an online receipt will be generated, attesting to the handling of the fee payment.

Stage 4 - Document Verification

  • As part of the counselling process, all of the shortlisted candidates must go through the document verification procedure at the help centres. To do this, a candidate must register for the document verification process.

Stage 5 - Exercising Web Options

  • Once the document verification process is complete, candidates can exercise their options in the AP ICET 2024 counselling. Candidates must have internet access and a computer for this stage as it is a web-based process.
  • Then, candidates must use their AP ICET Hall Ticket Number and Date of Birth to log in to the web-optin selection page on the official website.
  • Candidates must then enter the District and College Type to view the list of available colleges.
  • Candidates must click the 'Save' tab after choosing the appropriate colleges.

Stage 6 - Seat Allotment & Self-Reporting

  • Once the allocation process is finished, candidates will be able to download the provisional allotment orders from the website.
  • After downloading the provisional allotment letter, candidates will have the option to "self-report to the college online" in order to report to the specified colleges. On the official website, you can download the letter of allocation.

Documents Required for AP ICET Counselling 2024

The document verification stage is one of the most vital parts of the AP ICET counselling process 2024. At this stage, all the documents and certificates submitted by a candidate are scrutinized and verified before they are allowed to choose their preferred colleges for admission. Thus, if a candidate does not pass this stage of the counselling process, they will not be eligible to seek admission through AP ICET.
