Will 700 marks be enough for DU Arts/ Humanities in 2026?
700 marks in CUET can be enough, depending on the type of course that you want to pursue. If you are looking to take admission in Arts or Humanities, then you can definitely get a chance to study in a DU college. But if your goal is to study in a highly popular college, then 700 marks are not always enough.
If you are looking to get into North Campus with colleges likeHindu College,St. Stephen’s College,Miranda House College,Kirori Mal College,Ramjas College, 700 marks are not nearly enough because the cutoff for these colleges goes on the higher side. You can, however, target South Campus colleges easily, and for most off-campus colleges, this score is a very safe.
Another important factor to consider is your category. If you belong to the general category, then 700 marks are borderline safe; however, if you belong to the reserved category, then 700 is an outstanding score, which can guarantee your seat in the top North Campus colleges easily. Last but not least, if you are targeting a high-demand course, then the cutoff will go up, and 700 marks will not be enough for a north-campus college; however, with courses that are less chosen, you can easily grab a seat.

The main factor that affects the cut-off and the difference between them is the high demand for North Campus colleges.

Course Name | North Campus | South Campus |
560 – 585 | 510 – 540 | |
B.Sc (Hons) Chemistry | 550 – 575 | 500 – 530 |
540 – 570 | 490 – 525 | |
530 – 565 | 480 – 515 | |
570 – 590 | 530 – 560 |
General category cutoffs are slightly higher than reserved category cutoffs; however, the overall fluctuation also depends on several other factors, such as the type of college you are targeting. You can find the cutoffs on the official Delhi University CSAS portal.
