Set up in the year 1996, WLCI conducts an Aptitude Test, known as WLCI Aptitude Test to shortlist deserving candidates. It also goes by the name WLCI AICET or WLCI All India Combined Entrance Test. The entrance exam is designed to measure the aptitude of students and offer them admission based on their performance. WLCI Aptitude Test is not held on a particular date and candidates are provided with the option to select a day as per their convenience.

Courses Offered through WLCI Aptitude Test 2023

WLCI Aptitude Test 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Provided below is the course-wise eligibility criteria of the WLCI Aptitude Test 2023. Make sure to satisfy it before applying for the entrance test.

Undergraduate Programmes at WLCI:

To pursue an undergraduate programme from WLCI the following criteria must be met:

Candidates must have completed a 10+2 level examination from a recognized State/ Central board of education.

OR

Aspirants must have qualified GCE or General Certificate Education examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the International Baccalaureate (IB)/ Advanced (A) level.

OR

Applicants must have cleared any Public School/ University/ Board Exam in India or abroad. The exam must be recognised as equivalent to the 10+2 system by AIU or the Association of Indian Universities.

OR

Candidates must have acquired a passing grade in the SSC exam held by the National Open School with at least 5 subjects.

OR

The aspirant must be a holder of at least a 3 or 4 years long Diploma that is recognised by the State Board of Technical Education or AICTE.

Note: Candidates still appearing for the qualifying examination are free to apply for WLCI AICET 2023, given that they produce all the required documents at the time of counselling or admission.

Postgraduate Programmes at WLCI:

Applicants must have completed an undergraduate level degree in any discipline/ stream from any institute/ university/ college recognised in India.

OR

Candidates must possess an Advanced Diploma in Mass Communication/ Advertising and Graphic Design/ Fashion Technology from WLCI.

OR

Candidates must possess a Diploma of a minimum duration of 3 years in Mass Communication/ Advertising and Graphic Design/ Fashion Technology from any other college/ institution.

WLCI Aptitude Test 2023 Application Process

The application form of WLCI AICET is released through an online mode. Candidates can check out the steps to apply for the WLCI Aptitude Test below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of WLCI and register yourself online.

Step 2: Log in using the registered details to obtain the application form.

Step 3: Enter valid personal and academic details.

Step 4: Click on ‘Save’ and upload the photograph up to 500 KB and in JPEG format.

Step 5: Select ‘Save & Proceed’.

Step 6: Pay the application fee through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Netbanking/ Demand Draft (DD).

Step 7: After a successful transaction, take a printout of the application form for future reference.

WLCI Aptitude Test 2023 Exam Pattern

The aptitude test of WLCI 2023 is a written exam that is divided into two parts- Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Based on the performance in the aforementioned rounds, students are shortlisted for a personal interview. Elaborated below are the weightage for the same:

The GAT round consists of questions from Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, Communication Ability and GK & Current Affairs. The exam pattern followed by the GAT round of WLCI Aptitude Test is as follows:

In the CAT round of WLCI AICET 2022, the creative, innovative and illustration skills of the candidates are assessed while in the personal interview round, applicants are evaluated based on their communication, aptness for the course, career orientation, aptitude, general awareness, creative & lateral thinking and co-curricular and academic achievements.

WLCI Aptitude Test 2023 Admit Card

The admit card of the WLCI Aptitude Test is released by WLCI and is sent to the registered e-mail id of the candidates. Applicants can also download it by visiting the official website of WLCI and logging in to their respective accounts. No hard copies of the WLCI AICET 2023 are sent via mail/ post. 

Every participant student needs to carry the admit card of WLCI Aptitude Test to the test centre or else they will not be allowed to sit for the test. The candidate’s name, photograph, roll number are mentioned on the admit card along with the exam venue details and test timings.

WLCI Aptitude Test 2023 Result

WLCI, i.e. the conducting body of the WLCI Aptitude Test, sends the result of the exam to the registered e-mail id of the candidate. Aspirants can also download it by visiting the official website of WLCI and entering their registered email id and date of birth.

Those who qualify the WLCI Aptitude Test are invited to appear for a personal interview round. The better the performance of an individual in the GAT & WAT rounds of WLCI AICET, the higher are his/ her chances of getting shortlisted for the further stages of admission. 

What is the WLCI Admission Process 2023?

The admission process follows a comprehensive evaluation of the candidate through a Creative Aptitude Test and Personal Interview in order to ascertain their aptitude and suitability for the course.

Step 1: Creative Aptitude Test

• The Creative Aptitude Test aims to assess the candidate’s creative aptitude and ability in their respective fields.
• The test is administered to assess specific skills of the candidates such as the power of observation, innovation design, and drawing abilities.
• An important aspect of the test is to assess the candidate’s usage of color and illustration.
• Candidates are tested for general knowledge pertaining to their field of interest.
• The candidate’s performance in this test is an important factor to ascertain his/her suitability for the course.

Step 2: Personal Interview

• The personal interview is a detailed assessment of the candidate’s suitability to join the course. They are assessed on creative ability (Portfolio, Hand Skills/Writing Skills), Grooming, Communication Skills, and attitude.
• During the personal interview, the student’s portfolio and creative Aptitude tests are discussed.

Step 3: Post Interview Counselling

• At this stage, the candidate is given detailed information of the career pathways, fee structure, and payment plan.
• The candidate is also given the opportunity to clarify any doubt regarding the course and the institution.
