AP ICET Qualifying Criteria 2024
The AP ICET 2024 examination carries a total of 200 marks. General category candidates are required to achieve a minimum of 25% marks, which amounts to at least 50 marks out of the total. However, there are no specific qualifying marks set for SC and ST category candidates by the Sri Krishnadevaraya University, acting on behalf of APSCHE. In the event of two or more candidates obtaining identical scores, the conducting authority applies a tie-breaker. The criteria for the tie-breaker are as follows:
- Priority will be given to the marks scored in Section A to resolve ties in the AP ICET Rank List.
- If the tie remains unresolved, the marks obtained in Section B will be taken into account to break the tie.
- In the event that the tie persists even after considering Section A and Section B marks, the age of the candidates will be considered.
- Older candidates will be given priority over younger candidates in order to resolve the tie and determine the final rankings.
- This prioritisation based on age ensures a fair and transparent process in cases where all other factors remain equal.
- The age criterion serves as a decisive factor when all other aspects of the candidates' performance in the AP ICET exam are identical.
- By incorporating age as a tiebreaker, the rank list aims to provide equal opportunities while adhering to a systematic approach for resolving ties.
AP ICET 2024 Counselling Process
- Begin the AP ICET 2024 counselling process by registering on the official website at icet-sche.aptonline.in, which is the first step towards web-based counselling.
- Candidates are shortlisted for counselling based on their rank in the merit list, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process.
- During the counselling process, candidates must choose their preferred college or stream based on their ranks, providing them with the opportunity to make informed decisions about their educational journey.

- It is mandatory for candidates to report to the allocated institution on the specified date and time mentioned in the allotment letter. They must bring the original documents and the allotment letter for admission to MBA/MCA courses.
