THE World University Rankings 2022 are out and IISc Bangalore has featured in the top 350. The ranking and performance of Indian institutes in THE World University Rankings 2022 can be checked here.
THE World University Rankings (WUR) 2022 have been released and 3 Indian educational institutes are a part of the 400 universities across the world. IISc Bangalore is the first among the Indian institutes. Total 71 institutes have made it to the rankings, as compared to 63 last year. The participation of IITs has seen a decline since IIT Delhi, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Mumbai, Madras, and Guwahati had boycotted the Rankings last year regarding transparency.
The Rankings include more than 1,600 universities across 99 countries and territories and they comprise parameters such as teaching, knowledge transfer, research, and international outlook.

The above institutes are featured in the list of the top 1000 higher learning institutes across the globe. As far as the International universities are concerned, the University of Oxford bagged the first spot in THE World University Rankings 2022 followed by Stanford University and Harvard University. California Institute of Technology is on 4th and Massachusetts Institute of Technology is on the fifth spot.
