BITSAT Branch-Wise Expected Cutoffs 2026
BITSAT 2026 cutoffs are expected to drop by 5-10 marks despite high competition. This trend may be due to exam format changes and difficulty level. To secure CSE branch in BITS Piani campus, aim 10-15 marks above the predicted scores, likely around 310+ marks.
You must have heard that BITSAT is one of the most competitive exams. Of all the engineering entrance exams you will be taking this year,BITSAT 2026 examreally needs to be on your radar, particularly if BITS Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad is on your list. And in case you have been missing on to opportunities, the trends in cutoff of the last few years are by any standards the best to begin with.
But you will be surprised to learn that the figures tell a much different story. Competition is stiff, but the cutoffs have been in fact decreasing. Then, as more and more students are fighting over the same seats, you may have to score less to-day than someone who appear for BITSAT two years back. Sounds contradictory, right? Wait, as you will see that the data are much more sensible when you look at it.

Let's have a close look at the cutoff table below. You will observe that the cutoff shows a declining trend. Have you wondered what can be the possible reason for such a trend, as normally the cutoff is supposed to follow an upward trend. Let us break this down. There have been some changes in the exam format, test slots and the marking scheme, which might have led to this decline in the cutoff. Here is how the Pilani cutoffs moved for the most sought-after branches:

Key Observations from the BITSAT Cutoff Trend
CSE in any of the BITS campuses i.e. Pilani, Goa or Hyderabad is not easy to crack and you are aware of that. If we observe the numbers closely, theB.Tech CSEcutoff in Pilani has fallen 27 points in only two years. Suppose your senior had achieved a score of 331 to qualify the exam, you might just need a 304 to qualify the same. You both were aiming at the same target but the threshold is different. Let us have a look at the image to understand it better:
How to Use These BITSAT 2026 Cutoffs
We have provided this cutoff trend so that you may be better prepared for your upcoming point of action. However please do remember that these predicted cutoff marks are not set in stone and the actual result may be something different. I will suggest you aim for a score which is 10-15 points above these cutoff score so as to be on a safer side. If you wish to attain a seat in CSE BITS Pilani then aim for a score of 310 or more. For a seat in theB.Tech ECEorEEEcourse, you must focus on achieving a score of 270 to 285.

If we observe the exam format and the maximum marks, everything remains the same. This brings us to the conclusion that the cutoff marks will be somewhere near to the 2025 cutoff scores. My suggestion however, will be to keep an eye on the official update after the final results are declared.
