    Electronics and Communications Engineering or ECE is a four year course that deals with the research, design, development, and testing of electronic tools used in various techniques. Though the eligibility criteria for admission to B Tech ECE (Electronics and Communications Engineering) differs from college to college, there are certain minimum eligibility criteria which the candidates must fulfil for admission.

    The candidates who wish to get lateral entry admission to B.Tech ECE must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

    • The candidate must have passed a 3-year Diploma course in ECE or equivalent stream from a recognized board. Most of the colleges accept full-time Diploma courses as eligibility.
    • Only the candidates who have completed a Diploma in ECE/ CSE (Computer Science Engineering)/ EE (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)/ ETM (Electronics & Telematics Engineering)/ IT (Information Technology) can take lateral entry admission to B.Tech ECE.
    • The candidate must have passed a Diploma in Engineering with a minimum aggregate of 50%-60%.

    B Tech Electronics and Communications Engineering Course Fees

    The course fee for B Tech ECE (Electronics and Communications Engineering) depends on various factors such as the type of the institute,  the popularity/ ranking of the institute, and the merit/ scholarship earned by the student. For instance, the student having higher marks in the entrance exam will be provided with a higher scholarship, accounting for a lower course fee as compared to students with direct admission. On the other hand, government-based institutes will have much lower fees as compared to private institutes. On average, the course fee for B.
