BITSAT qualifying marks are the scores that you need to secure in the exam in order to pass. Note that the BITS passing marks will vary depending on the campus as well as the marks. Moreover, based on the previous year’s analysis, the BITSAT passing marks can be expected to range between 200-320 for Pilani, 200-300 for Goa, and 200-300 for Hyderabad for admission in BE, 213-220 for Pilani and 177-185 for Hyderabad for admission in the course of B.Pharm, etc. Find more details related to BITSAT 2026 qualifying marks below:-

The BITSAT 2026 ranks are decided based on the marks secured in the entrance examination. The total score is calculated by adding the scores secured in the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics sections. The rank is calculated by comparing the total marks of one student with the others'.
On certain occasions, it may so happen that two or more exam takers end up scoring the same marks in the BITS Admission Test 2026, resulting in a tie that may make it difficult to determine their BITSAT ranks. In case of a tie, the authorities will follow the below-mentioned rule:-
In case there is a tie, students with higher scores in Maths/Biology will be given precedence.
If the tie still persists, a student with a higher score in Physics will be given preference.
In case the tie is still there, the student with higher marks in Chemistry will be given an advantage.
Lastly, if the tie still exists, PCM/PCB marks in class XII will be taken into account to resolve the tie.
After the BITS Result 2026 is declared, the authorities will announce the cutoff. Those who qualify cutoff will be eligible to attend counselling. Moreover, the counselling will include steps such as an iteration round, seat allotment, etc. If selected, you must attend the counselling on the allotted date and time. There are several campuses that accept the BITSAT score. The campuses accepting it are Pilani, Hyderabad, Goa, and Dubai.
BITSAT 2026 merit list will be published on the official website of BITS Pilani separately for the B.Pharma & the remaining courses. The merit list will be prepared keeping in mind one's performance in the exam. If two students receive the same score, a tie-breaking procedure will be used. In the event of a tie, the results earned in Mathematics/Biology (B.Pharma) and Physics for other courses shall take precedence.
BITSAT 2026 cutoff will be released tentatively in the month of July after the conclusion of the exam. The cutoff will entail the minimum marks that you need to secure in order to qualify the exam. The BITSAT cutoff will be influenced by various factors such as the exam's difficulty level, total number of exam takers, highest marks secured in the exam, seat availability, etc. Moreover, the cutoff will differ basing on several factors such as the course as well as the campus.
The waitlist for BITSAT 2026 shall be available in an online mode on the official website. If your name does not appear in the admit list, then you will be put on the waiting list and hence, you must wait for the next iteration to know the status of your admission.
The BITSAT Admit List 2026 shall be structured based on the marks scored in the examination. If you get shortlisted, then you will be allowed to appear for the counselling session. BITS Pilani will announce the admit list before the commencement of each iteration. One who gets shortlisted must submit the admission application before the due date.
