The IIM Lucknow Shortlist 2024 refers to the list of candidates who have been selected for further rounds of the admission process at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow). IIM Lucknow released the shortlist of 8847 applicants for PI-WAT on January 4, 2024. The academic performance, work experience, CAT exam scores of the candidates determine if a candidate will be shortlisted for further admission stages that typically include the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. Important stages of the MBA Admission 2024 have been outlined by IIM Lucknow, which additionally demand that the shortlisted candidates complete the Personal Data Form. IIM Lucknow mandated a qualifying CAT cutoff at the 90 percentile for selection to the WAT and PI rounds in order to encourage academic and gender diversity in its classrooms. 

The score obtained from the CAT 2023 will be given 30% weightage by IIM Lucknow in the final MBA selection process in 2024. The eligibility cutoffs for the 2 years full-time MBA programmes offered by IIM Lucknow- Master of Business Administration (MBA), MBA Agribusiness Management (ABM), and MBA in Sustainable Management (SM) are the same as last year. IIM Lucknow Shortlisting Process 2024-26

The shortlisting process at IIM Lucknow for MBA admission involves the following stages.

IIM Lucknow Eligibility Criteria 2024-26

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category, the minimum required marks for PGDM admission is relaxed to 45%. Apart from this, it is mandatory for the candidates to have appeared in the CAT 2023 exam and score the minimum prescribed sectional and overall score to become eligible for admission to the MBA programmes offered by IIM Lucknow.

For admission to the MBA-ABM programme, candidates are required to possess a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Science/ Agricultural Engineering/Engineering/Technology or allied subjects. However, if a candidate fails to obtain these degrees, he/she will have to fill a special form at the time of personal interview, if selected. In order to become eligible for the MBA-SM programme, a minimum two years of work experience is mandatory along with a Graduation degree.

Only those candidates who have scored the minimum prescribed IIM Lucknow cut-offs will be shortlisted for admission to its MBA programmes.

The two-step selection process for candidates is outlined in IIM Lucknow's admission policy 2024. Candidates who have a valid CAT 2023 score, have applied to the programme, and meet the eligibility requirements of the MBA programme will be shortlisted by IIM Lucknow for the Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) in the first phase. WAT and PI have been given more weightage in the final score calculation than the CAT score. The combined weightage of the WAT and PI is 50, whereas the CAT score has a weightage of 30-35.The following criteria and weightage assigned to them will determine a candidate’s final score for selection in MBA/MBA-ABM/MBA-SM programme for the batch 2024–26:

Apart from these, a minimum work experience of 24 months is required for admission to the PGP-SM 2024 programme. The final selection (PI-WAT) round will begin in the first week February 2024 and will continue till March 2024. The final admission offer will be made by IIM Lucknow by the second week of April 2024, and after receiving the admission offer, candidates must confirm their acceptance by the last week of April 2024.
