Overall: Chandigarh University has an enthusiastic and vibrant college environment. If you are someone who is looking for an enriching college experience, then CU might be a good choice for you. The university organises various events from time to time like Bollywood nights, Youth Festivals, cultural meets, and, sports events. The teachers at the university are good, but some of them are often negligent towards the lectures and students. The infrastructure of the campus is really good. All the amenities that one needs for a comfortable college life are easily available. The placements are also decent. Some of the top recruiters are TCS, Amazon, and, Wipro. The CTC goes as high as Rs 54 lakh per annum but that is attained only by very few students. The majority of students get a CTC of around Rs 9 lakh per annum.
Infrastructure: The construction of the university is very modern and spacious. The area of the campus is around 250 acres and there are many amenities. There is a huge central library, which we used to utilise a lot since it had good resources. When it comes to food, Chandigarh University has some of the best chains. You can enjoy Dominos, Subway as well Pizza Hut on the campus itself. There are also sports grounds for many sports like basketball, cricket, football, and, badminton, to name a few.
Faculty: The teachers at Chandigarh University are good. They are very friendly and easy-going. However, exceptions are always there! For my batch, all the teachers were good and sincere. For some of the other sections in my department, my fellow mates were very disappointed with their faculty since they hardly conducted any lectures sincerely and just allotted loads of assignments.
Hostel: The hostels are really good at CU. We had separate blocks for boys and girls. I was a hosteller too and had some of my best memories. We used to study late at night in the library during the exam season, spend our free time in the nearby food joints around the campus, and enjoy the saloon and gym facilities.
Overall: Chandigarh University is a private university located in Mohali, Punjab. The university is ranked 2nd among the Top Private Universities in India under the QS Asia Ranking 2023. Chandigarh University has a culturally diverse college life with students coming in from all over the country. The campus life is very vibrant with many youth summits, sports events, celebrity visits etc. being held at the university. The quality of education at the university is very good. UGC-approved courses are offered in many streams like engineering, management, pharmacy, etc. The admission to the courses is based on the CUCET exam which is conducted by the university itself. Chandigarh University also awards many scholarships to students based on their performance in the CUCET exam.
Placement: Chandigarh University placement offers are renowned for their success. The university receives record-breaking placement offers every passing year. For the year 2023, the batch of 2022 secured more than 6100 placements. The highest CTC offered at the university was Rs 54.75 lakh per annum. The highest CTC for MBA itself was Rs 28 lakh per annum. During the placements, the placement cell of the university gives training and guidance to students through mock interviews, group discussions, etc.
Faculty: Chandigarh University teachers are helpful, encouraging and knowledgeable. Every teacher at the university is a master in his or her subjects. The ratio of students and faculty at the university is 14:1. This ensures that students receive individual attention and are trained well. There is also regular training held for the teachers. The university organises a faculty development programme where our teachers interact with some qualified foreign professionals and exchange ideas. Overall, the teachers are helpful but are strict when it comes to abiding by the rules.
Hostel: Chandigarh University hostels are very clean and modern. The hostels are built separately for boys and girls. The hostel life at the university is so positive and lively that one feels just like home at the university. Chandigarh University hostels have many facilities. Apart from a regular canteen and hostel mess, the university also has a night canteen and tuck shops. The guest room is also very beautiful. There is a saloon at the university campus for the grooming needs of hostellers.
