DTU Delhi - Cutoff, Placements, Admission Process 2023, Fee Structure

DTU is inviting applications for engineering admissions for the academic year 2024. NTA has officially announced the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 results via online mode. JEE Main session 2 registration process for Session 2 is currently ongoing and will end on March 2, 2024.

Admission to various programmes of the university is based on the scores of entrance exams like JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, UCEED, CEED, etc. The university releases a merit list or cut off list once the results of these examinations are announced. Step 3: Click on the preferred course and the DTU result will appear. 

Apart from the semester results, the CUET results also play a significant role in the admission process of the university. The steps to check the CUET results are as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official websites cuet.samarth.ac.in and cuet.nta.nic.in for UG and PG courses respectively. 

Step 2: Use your Application Number and Date of Birth as the log in credentials and login after verifying the captcha. 

Step 3: Download the DTU CUET result and take a printout of the same for future reference. 

For DTU admissions to B.Tech JEE Main scores are the determining factor. The NTA has released the results for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 online. The deadline for session 2 registration is March 2, 2024. Candidates seeking admission to MTech courses should note that the GATE 2024 answer key will be available on February 21, 2024.

DTU admission is offered based on entrance examination results followed by a counselling process. Students willing to get admission in DTU shall check the subject-wise admission process for the courses below. 

• The DTU B.Tech admission is based on the scores of the JEE Main examination. This is followed by the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) which is conducted by the Government of NCT. 
• The GATE scores are considered for the M.Tech admission in DTU which are followed by an interview round. 
• The  Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) exam is accepted for B.Des admissions.
• CAT and MAT scores are evaluated for DTU MBA admission.

The statistics of DTU placements 2023 is yet to be released. In 2022, 1499 students received job offers from more than 400 companies that participated in the placement drive. The average CTC offered was Rs 25.22 lakh per annum and the median CTC stood at Rs 15 lakh per annum. Further, the highest CTC was Rs 82.05 LPA. The DTU M.Tech highest offer made to one of the 2023 passing students was Rs 51.03 from the AFI branch. Delhi Technological University World University Ranking 2023 is among the 601-800 range. The university achieved an overall score of 34.0-39.2. According to The Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2023, DTU received 17.8 points for teaching, 17.8 points for research, 42.5 points for industry income, 80.1 points for citations, and 17.3 points for international orientation.

The Delhi Technological University ranking 2023 as per the NIRF 2023 Report is 61 for the overall category, 29 for the engineering category, and, 40 for the university category.  The NIRF score for the overall category is 50.54. For the universities category, it is 51.49 and for the engineering category, the score is 58.34. The overall ranking of the university has improved by 2 positions and the engineering ranking has improved by 6 positions.

As per the NIRF Report 2022, DTU was ranked 63rd in the overall category with a score of 49.03, 38th in the university category with a score of 49.97, and, 35th in the engineering category with a score of 55.65. The university has seen an improvement in the overall and engineering categories by 2 positions and 6 positions respectively.
