Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology is a university of recognition that aims to impart quality, value-based education of international standards to its students. KIIT, though a very young institution, has performed incredibly well in the rankings conducted by various national and international associations.
The Institute has magnificently designed separate hostels for boys and girls, each with all modern facilities for boarding and other recreational activities. Central Library acts as the main learning resource centre of the university. The library has, over the years, built a robust collection of over 1,018,434 books, 16,806 bound volumes, 665 current subscriptions to printed journals, magazines, newspapers, and many other resources like student project reports, CDs (2813), videos (555) and etc.
Transportation
KIIT has its own fleet of buses to cater to the transportation needs of its students, staff members and visiting guests. These buses serve as the link between the campus and the city.

The Canteen at KIIT serves delicious multi-cuisine food. The menu includes Odia, South Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes. The cafeteria inside the campus serves soft and hot drinks, snacks and ice creams.
Food Court
15 Food Courts specialising in cuisines from different parts of the world. They serve a wide selection of national and international dishes. These food courts are in addition to 20 canteens attached to as many hostels.
Auditorium
KIIT provides an excellent ambience for national and international level conferences and seminars. Its Central Convention Centre Complex houses a world-class Auditorium having a seating capacity of 1600, besides a Guest House with 5-star facilities (42 suits), Conference Halls (18 Nos.), and an Exhibition Ground (five acres) and a Banquet Hall. It is the largest of its type in the state of Odisha and one of the best in Eastern India.
