It is an 18-month full-time residential programme. With this in mind, MDI Gurgaon introduced the PGDM-PPM in 2006, making it one of the first institutions to provide a management programme in the area of public policy.

The applicant must mandatorily take the CAT 2022 or GMAT exam to gain admission for all three types of PGDM courses at the university.
The candidate must possess a minimum of three years of bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in order to meet the requirements for MDI Gurgaon PGDM & PGDM HRM admission.
An applicant must possess a four-year bachelor's degree with at least 50% of the required marks or an equivalent grade point average in order to be eligible for the PGDM IB programme.
As of December 31, 2022, a minimum of one year of work experience following qualifying (a four-year bachelor's degree) is required for PGDM IB admission.
For each of the three programmes, the applicant must have earned at least 50% in classes 10 and 12, or an equivalent CGPA.
Candidates who will be taking the final-year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification exam and those who will finish all requirements for obtaining the bachelor's degree by June 30, 2023, are also eligible to apply to the PGDM and PGDM-HR programmes. However, it is given that they provide supporting documents to that effect no later than October 1, 2023.
