Selection Criteria: Procedure to Bag a Seat at DMS IIT Delhi
Established in the year 1993, the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi, was started to promote management education and research among technical graduates who have the potential to become business leaders. Ever since its inception, the department has been known take on various projects on behalf of Government Departments such as Department of Science and Technology, Department of Education, Department of Rural Development, etc. as a consultancy body.
DMS IIT Delhi has also been recognized for various international projects and consultancy work done for international organizations such as the U.S. Air Force. Over the years, the institute has collaborated with various educational institutions and organizations to offer better opportunities to students such as IBM India, MacMillan, University of Paris, Pantheon-Sorbonne, Paris, Sun Microsystems, India, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok and many others.
The institute has also tied-up with Bharti School of Telecom Technology and Management to offer a two-year full-time MBA in Telecommunication Systems Management.

DMS IIT Delhi selects students on the basis of CAT score. NRIs and foreign nationals can apply through GMAT score. The institute follows a two-phase selection process where past academic performance plays an essential role.
Once the result of CAT is declared, candidates must apply for DMS IIT Delhi by filling the application form provided by the institute on its official website. Based on the cutoff set by the institute and the strength of application, candidates will be shortlisted.

|MBA Programmes||CAT Scores of candidates and their past academic record (graduation score and performance in 10th, 12th boards) are scrutinized in this phase. Candidates who have cleared the cutoff will be shortlisted.||All shortlisted candidates are then called on campus for group Discussion and Personal Interview. Marks secured in GD & PI rounds are composed together with CAT score to prepare the final merit list.|
|Executive MBA||Candidates have to clear the entrance exam cutoff. A candidate’s past work experience (quality and duration) is also considered in this phase of selection.||Shortlisted candidates are called for Interview. The interviewing panel evaluates the candidates on the basis of their score, past work experience and academic record.|
|Doctoral Programmes||Candidates are selected on the basis of their applications (i.e. marks in Post-graduation, graduation and performance in 10th, 12th board exams) and the recently published research papers.||The final selection is done on the basis of the interview. Every member of the interviewing panel evaluates the candidate individually and in order to clear this round candidate must be given a clear pass by every panelist.|
