RAKCON Admission 2023

The Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing admission 2023 for undergraduate programmes will be based on the CUET exam results. For seat allocation, candidates must use the CSAS 2023 application form on the official website (admission.uod.ac.in). A CUET UG 2023 application number and the application fee must be included with the submission of the form.

The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS 2023) will be used for seat allocation and admission at all colleges associated with Delhi University. Here, a seat is made available to a candidate. He won't be eligible to participate in the following CSAS 2023 rounds if he rejects the seat. This will imply that he has turned down the provisionally assigned seat. For the CUET UG 2023 admission process, there will be at least four rounds of seat distribution, with the possibility of additional rounds.

There are three phases to the CSAS 2023:

  • The DU application.
  • Completing the program's necessary forms and information.
  • Admission to the college and the assignment of seats.

Being one of the few Nursing Colleges in Delhi, the admissions to Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing programmes are done based on the rules and regulations as stated by the University of Delhi. The students will have to meet the RAKCON eligibility criteria for the course that they wish to pursue at the college. Unlike the other Delhi University affiliated Colleges does not take admission of its students based on the cut-off lists of Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing. The interested candidates will need to go through the entire admission process of Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing to take admission to various programmes offered by them. RAKCON conducts an entrance test to shortlist the candidates for the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

RAKCN BSc Admission

Minimum Conditions of Eligibility for Registration :

  •  Candidate seeking admission to First Year B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing course must have passed the Examination as listed below :

  • Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination/ lndian School Certificate Examination (12 years Course)and / or examination recognised as equivalent with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of 4 subjects including English, Physics. Chemistry and Biology provided the student has passed in each subject separately.

  •  Minimum age requirement is 17 years by 1st October,2017. The Vice-Chancellor may, however, on the basis of individual merit relax the age up to a maximum period of one year

  •  Only women candidates are eligible for the course.

. Basis of Selection :

The selection of the candidates for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing Course will be made on the merit of Selection Test. All candidates, irrespective of reserved or non-reserved category, have to appear for the Selection Test except foreign national.

 Selection Test

Selection test will be held on 11thJune, 2017 Sunday at 10.00 A.M. in New Delhi as per the venue indicated in the Admission Ticket. The selection test will be of two hours and thirty minutes (2'/2hours) duration and shall contain objective type (multiple choice) items. The test will be based on Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Curriculum of Physics,

Chemistry, Biology and shall also include, some items on English Comprehension and general knowledge in health.

RAKCN Diploma Admission

Minimum conditions of Eligibility for Registration :

  •  A candidate seeking admission to Master of Nursing Course must have passed B.Sc. Nursing.

  •    B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing (12+4 years) of the University of Delhi or B.Sc. Examination in Nursing (12+4 Years) of a recognised university or an examination recognised as equivalent there to with 55% marks in the aggregate.

AND

One year experience in Nursing in an approved hospital/ educational institution or public health agency.

OR

   A candidate seeking admission to Master of Nursing Course must have passed B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing examination (11+4) years of the University of Delhi or B.Sc. Examination in Nursing (11+4) years of a recognised as equivalent there to with 55% marks in the aggregate

AND

Two years of experience in Nursing in an approved hospital/educational institution or public healthagency.

    A candidate passed post Basic B.Sc. from recognisedcentres (from INC) of IGNOU University will be only eligible for this course.­

Criteria for an approved Hospital /Educational Institution or Public Health Agency are:

  • The work experience must have been in nursing that is patient care/client care/family care/community care/ teaching in Nursing Training Programmes such as B.Sc. Nursing, GNM, MPHW, ANM, PHN or HS (Health Supervisor)

  • The experience should be in a teaching hospital or a hospital with minimum 100 beds and having facilities for providing experience in different Clinical Areas or Community Health or Nursing Education Institutions recognised by Indian Nursing Council.

Note :(a) Teaching hospital refers to a hospital having School/College of Nursing offering B.Sc. Nursing / G.N.M. / M.P.H.W. / P.HW. / Midwifery / P.H.N. / H.S. (Health Supervisor) recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

Community Health Agencies include M.C.H. Centre/ P.H.C./ R.H.C./C.H.C. or Taluk Headquarter Hospital.

?The experience will be calculated up to the 23rd March 2017.

Basis of selection :

The selection of Candidates for admission to M.Sc. Nursing Course will be made in the following manner.

  •       Category-1

50% of the seats in the course will be filled in by the candidates who have passed B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing Examination of University of Delhi. The criteria for the merit would be weightage of 50% of the selection test and 50% of the qualifying examination.

SC/ST candidates who belong to category-1, reserved category status (SC/ST/OBC), one can avail only one benefits either selection under category-1 or from reserved category (SC/ST/OBC).

  •        Category-II

The remaining 50% of seats will be offered to candidates on the basis of the performance in the Selection test and last qualifying examination. The criteria for the merit would be weightage of 50% of the Selection test and 50% of the qualifying examination.

      Weightage for Sponsored Candidates (Non-Reserved Candidates) for placement in the merit list based on Selection Test :

Weightage of 5 marks will be given to the candidates who are in the employment of State Government or College of-Nursing/ Schools of Nursing and whose names aresponsored by their employer. However only one candidate (non-reserved) per each State/Union Territory from among the sponsored candidates of that State/Union territory will be eligible for weightage of 5 marks who secures highest in the selection test. The candidate must produce thesponsorship letter by 16th May 2017. The original application though proper channel must reach by 16th May 2017. Sponsored candidate receiving 5 marks ifselected should submit a relieving letter confirming sponsorship at the time of admission.

As per the Supreme Court ruling, candidates belonging to the reserved categories and who have been found eligible for admission in the general merit list, will be admitted against seats in the general category. The seats for the reserved category will then be filled up from the remaining candidates in the reserved categories as follows:

       The candidates belonging to the reserved categories will complete for reserved seats among themselves. A final selection list will be prepared for these categories on the basis of their performance in the selection test.

Selection Test :

Selection Test will be held on 30thApril, 2017 (Sunday) at 10.00 A.M. at the centre mentioned in the admission ticket. The test will be of two hours and thirty minutes (2½ hrs) duration and shall contain objective type questions. The test will be based on B.Sc. Nursing Syllabus prescribed by I.N.C. All Candidates are required to report one hour before the commencement of the test.

Areas to be included in the Selection Test are Nursing Foundation, Applied Nutrition, Preventive Medicine and epidemiology, Psychology, Sociology, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Obstetrical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Psychiatry Nursing Community Health Nursing and Basic Concepts of Education, Administration, Research and Statistics.

RAKCON Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc (Hons) Nursing Admissions 2019

The candidates who wish to pursue the undergraduate programme in the field of nursing that has been offered by the college will need to meet all the RAKCON eligibility criteria for B.Sc (Hons) Nursing Admissions 2019. The primary criterion that the candidate will need to ensure that they meet is to have passed the class 12 board examination that has been conducted a recognised board of education such as CBSE or ICSE, etc. However, the applicants must ensure that they have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their qualifying marks. The applicants are shortlisted and selected as per their performance in the selection test that is conducted by Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing. The programme is open to all the candidates who have appeared their class 12 board examinations in the stream of science, with subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with English as the major subjects. 

Note:

The B.Sc (Hons) Nursing Programme at Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing is open only to the female candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in Nursing. However, those candidates who wish to pursue the admission process at RAKCON will need to ensure that they complete 17 years of age by October 1st 2019.

RAKCON Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc Nursing Admissions 2019

This DU college also provides its aspirants with the option of pursuing their postgraduate programme as well. However, in order to take admission to the programme, the interested candidates will need to satisfy the RAKCON eligibility criteria for M.Sc Nursing Admissions 2019. It is important for the applicant to have completed their B.Sc in Nursing programme. The candidates who have completed their B.Sc (Hons) Nursing from Delhi University or any B.Sc Nursing programme from any recognised University or Institute, i.e. 12+4 years, with an aggregate score of 55% in the qualifying examination will be eligible for the programme. However, the students will also need a one-year work experience from a Hospital educational institution or any public health agency that has been approved. The candidates will also be able to pursue the programme if they have completed 11+4 years of education, i.e. 11 years of schooling along with 4 years of a full-fledged B.Sc Nursing programme. However, these candidates will need to ensure that they have completed at least 2 years of work experience from an approved public health agency or hospital educational institution or any approved hospital.

RAKCON Application Process for Nursing Programmes Admission 2019

Once the candidates have ensured that they meet the eligibility criteria for the various programmes that are on offer at the college, they will have to complete the RAKCON Application process for nursing programmes admission 2019. In order to take admission in any one of the programmes that are offered by the college, they will first need to procure the application form from the online portal of the Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing. The candidates will need to download the application form, fill in the form and deposit the application form with the college by either handing it on their own or deliver it by post. The candidates will need to make sure that they have filled in the correct information, as they will not be able to edit the information once the form has been submitted. While submitting the form, the candidates will also have to attach self-attested copies of all the important documents that will prove their eligibility for the programme such as Class 10 and 12 marks sheet and/or graduation certificate and mark sheet (for M.Sc Nursing), Migration & Transfer Certificate, photographs with candidate’s name and date of clicking the photograph, etc should be deposited along with the filled-in application form. While submitting the form, the candidates will also have to make the payment of the application form which will be around ₹550 which should be paid via demand draft, payable at “Principle, Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing”. 

Once the application form has been submitted, the college will send an admission ticket. For this purpose, the candidates will also have to attach an envelope with their own address along with the application form and the copies of the documents. The candidates will be required to fill in the admission ticket as well. Those who do not receive the admission ticket will need to contact the college for the same, after which the candidate will receive a duplicate document. 

RAKCON Selection Process for Nursing Programmes Admissions 2019

On the completion of the application process of the college, the candidates who have been provided with the admission ticket will be required to go through the RAKCON selection process for Nursing programmes admissions 2019. As part of the selection process, the candidates will be asked to appear for the selection test that will be conducted by Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing. Anyone who wishes to take admission to any of the nursing programmes offered by the college will have to appear for the selection test, as the college shortlists and selects the candidates on the basis of their performance in the RAKCON selection test. Once the results of the selection test have been announced, the shortlisted candidates will be called for the document verification process. The candidates who get successfully selected will be required to pay the admission fee as soon as possible, as per the guidance of the college. After the payment of the admission fee, the selection process for the candidate will be finished.

Dear Neha, 

The academic session 2023-24 for M.Sc Nursing course at Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing will begin from August 10, 2023 onwards. Students have to report at 10:00 AM in the assembly hall of the college. The admission to the M.Sc course at Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing is offered based on the entrance exam, the result of which has already been published on the website. As of now, the authorities have released the category-wise list of candidates selected for the counselling process. The counselling process and admission last date for session 2023-24 was July 31, 2023.

Getting admission to Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing with 136 marks is difficult even if you have a state quota or any other applicable quota. With this score, getting a seat at any government or top private nursing college would not be attainable.
