10 +2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregate of 45% marks.

Passed at the qualifying examinations (academic stream) after a period of 12 years of study  with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany & Zoology.

The Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife from Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council. This is mandatory and prerequeste to obtain eligibility from Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University,Chennai. 
The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc.(.(N)/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic Nursing with minimum of  55% aggregate mark. [original marks statement of all years/semesters should be produced.]
