The college takes part in different infrastructural development programmes which are funded by UGC according to its XI plan.The college is situated one kilometre away from its nearest railway station which is Ambika Kalna. The holy Ganga is also one kilometre away towards in the north from the college.The lecture halls and classrooms are well-furnished and spacious, equipped with the latest audio-visual aids to facilitate the learning of professional education and to make learning a memorable and interactive experience for students; this also prepares them to be able to handle the interface between the real life corporate environment. The computer lab is equipped with many computers that are connected to the World Wide Web. It also has the latest software packages installed. The institute has a centralised computing facility for the campus-wide networking by the use of an independent server. The library has numerous books, journals, newspapers and magazines. The resources are always updated. The aim is to serve the needs of the faculty and students. There is a hostel which gives separate accommodations for students. The Institute also offers scholarships to merit students.
The college maintains Boy's Hostel and Girls Hostel in the college campus. A male student intending to reside in the college hostel will have to abide by all the rules and regulations of the Hostel. A Hostel Super supervises the hostel activities of the college.
Besides the N.C.C., there are also two units of National Service Scheme functioning in the College with utmost importance. Both boys and girls who participate in N.S.S. are provided with certificates which enable them to develop their careers.
Students, both boys and girls are encouraged to join National Cadet corps under 54 Battalion. There are three units in the college two for boys and one for girls. The certificates provided to N.C.C. cadets are useful as records of their extracurricular activities.
