How to Prepare for CTET Exam 2026 in One Month

With limited time available, working professionals and B.ed students feel overwhelmed while preparing for the CTET Exam 2026 , as well as managing their work schedules or college assignments. But here’s the truth: what you need is a smart study plan, a few hours of smart work and a schedule that can make every hour count. Understanding the exam pattern and marking the high-weightage topics, and continuous revision plus enough mock tests can help you ace the exam in even a month.

Understanding The CTET Exam Pattern

Before diving into books, spend time understanding the CTET 2026 exam pattern . The exam has two papers, Paper I for classes I–V and Paper II for classes VI–VIII. Child Development and Pedagogy is one of the most important topics for both papers. It is conceptual and hence very scoring. The other sections, like the EVS, Maths and Science, or Social studies, level might vary depending on the paper 1 or the paper 2 you are appearing for.

The knowledge of the most asked questions can help you save time in reading irrelevant topics. The coursework of B.ed students overlaps with the CTET pedagogy, so it can be highly advantageous for them. Working professionals, however, must focus more on solving the previous year's papers so that they become aware of the repeated topics.

Smart Study Strategy for Time Management

Working professionals manage to get only 2-3 hours daily, whereas B.Ed students have to juggle between the lectures, assignments and internship. So it is advised not to stress over the number of hours you study, but to make the hours count. You must prepare a week-wise plan, keeping in mind your work schedule. Enough time must be allotted to the important topics, and a target of solving at least 4-5 mock tests weekly. Going through the CTET previous year Question papers will help you understand the most important topics.

Study when your mind is the freshest, early mornings or late evenings work best. You can target the weekends for the mock tests and the previous year's questions. Consistency is the key when it comes to preparing for the competitive exams. 2 hours of focused study every day must be preferred rather than occasionally studying for 5-6 hours.

Last Minute CTET 2026 Preparation Tips

The final week must focus more on revision and last-minute CTET Prep Tips . You must remember that revision doesn't only mean rereading, but it is also reinforcing what you have already learnt. Always try to maintain short notes for pedagogy theories or concepts. Do not pick up new topics in the final week, because now is the time to consolidate what you have already learnt and do not dive into some new information.

Focus on accuracy over speed. Analyse mock test mistakes carefully, understand why you got something wrong and what the correct approach should be. Taking care of oneself is also very important in the last week. You must get enough sleep, drink plenty of water and try to calm your mind by practising some mind-relaxing exercises.
