Govt. Digjijay College (abbreviated GDC) is an autonomous college, founded in the year 1957. University Grant Commission (UGC) is also funding GDC for development activities. The environment of the college is healthy and peaceful. All the faculty members are well-qualified, experienced and committed. More than 50% of the faculty members have Ph.D. degree. The mission of the college is to provide the high-quality education with equal opportunity without any discrimination of caste, colour, creed and sex. Govt. Digvijay College provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in different streams including Arts, Science and Commerce. It also offers some Vocational, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Certificate courses in Industrial Fish & Fisheries, Industrial Chemistry, Food Science & Quality Control, Information Technology, Instrument Maintenance, Spoken English & Creative Writing, Banking & Accounting, Electronics, Information & Communication Technology and Soft Skills.
