NLU Sonipat Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

DBRANLU Sonepat admission 2024 is based on CLAT scores followed by counselling process. The authorities will release CLAT round 3 cut off list on January 22, 2024. The authorities have already released CLAT cut off 2024 for round 1 and 2 at the official website. Students who have secured ranks between their applied categories ranking are eligible for admission to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University Sonepat. Students shall note that NLU Sonepat BA LLB seat intake is 120 students. Hence, they are suggested to complete the admission process at the earliest to get a seat at DBRANLU Sonepat. 

For NLU Sonepat BA LLB admission, students have to qualify class 12 with atleast 45% marks from a recognised board of education and admissions are based on CLAT scores. Further, for PG Diploma in Corporate course admission, one must have an undergraduate/bachelor's degree (any stream) with atleast 50% marks from a recognised university. 

DBRANLU Sonepat admission process is strictly conducted through CLAT. For NLU Sonepat BA LLB admission, students have to fill out the CLAT application form and qualify DBRANLU Sonepat cut off. DBRANLU Sonepat admission process includes filling out the CLAT application form, choice filling and locking, appearing for the CLAT counselling process and seat acceptance. However, for admission to PG Diploma in Corporate course, a graduation with at least 50% marks is adequate. 

DBRANLU Sonepat UG admission is provided for BA LLB course. This course is a 5-year integrated course. Students willing to get admission to this course shall know DBRANLU Sonepat eligibility criteria for UG courses and follow the guidelines before applying. Those who have completed class 12 are eligible for admission to BA LLB course. However, DBRANLU Sonepat selection criteria for UG courses highlight that the selection of candidates is subject to merit through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). 

NLU Sonepat UG Eligibility and Selection Criteria

DBRANLU Sonepat seat allotment is conducted keeping choice filling and other factors in mind. Students who are allotted seats have three options: Freeze, Float or Exit. Candidates who are satisfied with the seat allotted to them can choose freeze option and pay a seat confirmation fee to secure admission. One must know that after freezing a seat they won’t be eligible to participate in future rounds of CLAT counselling.

The second option is to float. Applicants who are not satisfied with the seat allotted to them can select float option and participate in further rounds of counselling for a better college. 

The third option is exit. Choosing this option means withdrawing the application from CLAT counselling process of DBRANLU Sonepat. Note that, students selecting exit option will not be considered for further rounds of counselling. 

DBRANLU Sonepat application process begins with the CLAT application process. NLU Sonepat does not have its individual application process. Candidates who wish to get admission have to apply for NLU Sonepat via CLAT. They are required to rank all NLUs according to their preference and allotment of colleges is done as per their marks and preferences. Listed below are the steps to apply for DBRANLU Sonepat through CLAT.

How to Apply for DBRANLU Sonepat Admission? 

• Interested applicants will have to visit official website of the Consortium of NLUs.
• On the website, they can apply for CLAT by clicking on option that is provided on the home page.
• Candidate will have to register for CLAT first. They will have to enter their name and mobile number on which they will receive a password after registration.
• Once the candidate has created a password, he/she can proceed to fill out CLAT form by entering all of his/her personal and academic details.
• In the next step, applicant will be required to upload scanned copies of required documents that are asked in the form.
• Once the candidate has successfully entered all details that are asked for in the application form, he/ she will have to select various campuses of NLUs and rank them as per his/ her preference.
• After the declaration of CLAT result, candidates will be given admission to NLUs as per the preference they enter in the application form.

Following documents are required for NLU Sonepat admission:

• 12th pass certificate and D.M.C. 
• Matric certificate (As proof of D.O.B.)
• Character certificate
• CLAT scorecard
• Gap certificate (If applicable)
• Category certificate (If applicable)
• Domicile certificate (If applicable)
• Proof of ward of land owners certificate (If applicable).

The admission fee for DBRANLU Sonepat admission is Rs 5,000 (one-time payable). Since admissions are conducted through CLAT, counselling/registration fee deposited by students with the consortium is deducted while further fee payment of NLU Sonepat. CLAT application fee for UR category is Rs 4000 while SC/ST/BPL students' application fee is Rs 3500.
