GITAM Vizag B.Sc. Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry - Fees, Eligibility, Seats and Admission 2024

Overall: My participation in all extracurricular activities improved my ability to focus and learn efficiently. I graduated from college with stronger learning and communication abilities than I had before. My experiences here helped me to grow into a better person.

Overall: Being an environment enthusiast, I joined the B.Sc Environmental Science course at GITAM Vizag. I must admit that I enjoyed the course duration at the university. The university has a boys hostel with all the facilities accessible to the students, staff and other members. I made some great friends at the college and still in touch with them.

Placement: GITAM University offers better placement prospects than other colleges in Andhra Pradesh with lower salary packages. A total of 750 members that were chosen for the TCS 2016 batch, but I was really dissatisfied with the kind of job we received after joining. The placement rate for the year was also 100%, as expected.

Infrastructure: The GITAM University Vizag has modern infrastructure, which is good. With a speed of almost 100 Mbps, GITAM Wi-Fi has the fastest WiFi network in Andhra Pradesh. The library and all other buildings will both have Wi-Fi access. Due to the Wi-Fi, students spend the majority of their time in the library. It has other facilities as well such as a cafeteria, and hostels for both boys and girls. The parking used to be fairly decent, but it is now very congested.

Faculty: All members of the faculty at GITAM Vizag have PhD degrees. Despite their qualifications, don't hold them to a high standard of expertise. Few students will excel in their fields. Both then and now, the course was really well designed. However, no one really adheres to the guidance provided at the time of joining. If they go as expected, it will be advantageous.

Overall: I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental science due to my interest towards mother nature at GITAM Vizag. The curriculum of the course at the university is updated very frequently. They have updated and provided a better course for interested people which is AR VR.

Placement: Every student will be placed according to their efforts, and placement rates at GITAM Vizag are 100%. Better placement training is offered by them. Additionally, they offer CRT training courses. The average annual wage is found to be Rs 4.5 Lakhs per annum.

Infrastructure: The fee structure at GITAM Vizag is the poorest and the campus is finest in terms of security. The variety of activities available to students relies on their individual areas of interest. Students, teachers, and support staff occasionally act professionally, but more importantly, they get along well with one another to create a better environment. It is located close to Rushikonda, and at night it might be a little dangerous due to the numerous accidents that occur there. The university has a hospital on campus that can deal with emergencies.

Faculty: The faculty of GITAM Vizag is highly experienced with years of experience. They taught us not only academics but also taught to excel in other spheres of our lives. With their guidance, we are supposed to grow better and do better in our lives.

Overall: Due to covid we were unable to go and interact with our friends, but there is some form of interaction due to online classes and social media, so overall the campus life is very good.

Placement: There aren't many placement options for BSc students; I believe BSc students should pursue further higher education; however, the university has established training and placement centres at each of the institutes, which are led by senior faculty members.

Infrastructure: Gitam University has almost all of the necessary infrastructure for students, such as well-maintained classrooms, labs, libraries, a cricket ground, a gym, and so on, but no smart boards are provided. The canteen service is adequate. The food provided is both affordable and sanitary.

Faculty: Studying at Visakhapatnam's best college is well worth it because the teachers are well qualified and completely understand their subject matter. Overall, the teachers are interactive and make us understand each topic completely.

Hostel: Hostel life is the best part of any student's life. Hostel wardens and staff members are available to provide guidance, support, and ensure the well-being of students. They help maintain discipline, address concerns, and create a safe and conducive living environment.

Overall: I graduated from GITAM Vizag in the year 2020 and I cannot thank god enough that I was a part of such an established institution. I enjoyed every aspect of my college life with supportive teachers and wonderful classmates. I can never imagine myself in any other university. The placement process at the university is very commandable.

Placement: Approximately 90% of the students in this course were placed, with the lowest package being Rs 3.2 LPA and the highest being Rs 40 LPA. The top recruiting firms for this course are TCS, Wipro, ACCENTURE, Infosys, Amazon, and Byju's, and the top job roles available are web and app developer, software developer, tester, and debugger.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of GITAM Vizag are excellent. The college campus consists of a fantastic library that hosts all kinds of physical as well as online study materials. There is free WiFi access throughout the campus, clean & spacious hostels with hygienic food availability etc. The college also provides medical facilities, and hosts various sports activities annually on the large playground of the university.

Faculty: The faculty at the GITAM Vizag are all experts in their field. They have exceptional experience and knowledge about their respective subjects. The course at GITAM Vizag prepares students for industry, and the semester tests are a little challenging to pass with a 5 pass star rating. The lecturers have excellent credentials, expertise, and technical understanding of their subjects.
