The Gujarat University GCAS merit list includes candidate name, registration number, qualifying marks, allotted college, programme, and category rank.
The Round 1 online seat acceptance window closed on June 1. If you accepted your Round 1 offer, the next step is document verification at your allotted college — this must be completed between June 2 and June 6, 2026. Missing this window cancels your Round 1 seat.
Step 1: Log in to gcas.gujgov.edu.in and download your Round 1 allotment letter with the college name and reporting date.
Step 2: Visit your allotted college on the scheduled date with all original documents for physical verification.
Step 3: Pay the admission fee at the college and complete the enrolment process.
Your seat is confirmed only after physical document verification and fee payment at the college are both completed.
Students who did not register in Round 1, did not receive a Round 1 seat, or want to try for a different college or programme can apply in GCAS Round 2 admissions 2026.
Round 2 registration at gcas.gujgov.edu.in is open until June 6, 2026. The Round 2 merit list will be released on June 8–9, 2026, and seat confirmation runs June 10–13, 2026.
To register for Round 2: go to gcas.gujgov.edu.in, complete registration with Class 12 marks, fill in college and programme preferences in order of priority, and submit before June 6.
Students who already have a Round 1 seat but want a higher-preference college can also opt into Round 2 — indicate willingness to upgrade while completing Round 1 confirmation on the portal.
Carry originals and self-attested copies of each document to the college for physical verification:
General category students who passed Gujarat Board (GSEB) Class 12 in 2023 or later are exempt from mandatory document verification at the college.
GCAS (Gujarat Common Admission Services) is the centralised UG admission portal managed by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat. It covers admissions across all state universities — including Gujarat University, Saurashtra University, and Sardar Patel University, and their affiliated colleges through a single online system.
Students register once on gcas.gujgov.edu.in, fill college and programme preferences, and the portal automatically allocates seats based on Class 12 marks, preference order, seat availability, and reservation category. Merit lists are released in multiple rounds — Round 1 through Round 4 and special phases — until all seats are filled. Students do not need to apply separately to individual colleges.
