Overall: As a proud alumnus of Gujarat University, I would say that the university is one of the premier universities in India. I completed my MBA in the year 2020 and got placed in my chosen company with an impressive salary package even before the completion of my degree. The teachers are very helpful and always guide us to do better, whether professionally or personally. The university has been recognised by UGC and also approved by AICTE. Under the aegis of Gujarat University, there are nearly 235 colleges, 15 recognised institutions and 24 approved institutions. There are 34 Post-Graduate University departments and 221 PG centres.
Placement: There is a dedicated placement cell at Gujarat University. The cell trains the students to become informed about the recent market trends based on which job opportunities are offered. As per the recent trends, the highest package offered during this Gujarat University placement drive was Rs 13.58 Lakh per annum. Some major participating recruiters are YCS, Infosys, Federal Bank, Amazon EY, Kotak Mahindra Bank and more.
Infrastructure: The campus of Gujarat University is covered with greenery and provides the students with a soothing environment to study. It is spread over an area of 260 acres with facilities available such as girl’s and boy’s hostels, medical facilities, a library with a range of online as well as offline resources. Being an active part of the arts and culture society, I thoroughly used to participate in different cultural activities and represented our university on various national platforms. The food at the canteen is quite delicious and prepared by following all cleanliness protocols.
Faculty: One of my main reason to write off the university is the faculty. All the faculty members are intellectuals in their respective fields with years of extensive experience. Being from science background, I initially faced problems in understanding basic concepts. But with the guidance of the teachers, I managed to cope up with all difficulties and problems.
Overall: I am pursuing my B.Tech from Gujarat University. I was an active member of the students association and let me give you a brief overview of my university. It is a public university recognised by UGC, BCI and MCI. It received a B++ grade from NAAC in 2015. In the NIRF Ranking 2022, it was ranked 73rd in the overall category and 58th in the university category. Overall, my experience has been good so far.
Placement: As this is my third year, I have not experienced the Gujarat University placement process on my own. However, I have gone through the placement report for 2023 as next year I will be sitting for placement interviews. The placement session is currently ongoing. Federal Bank offered the highest salary package of Rs 13.58 LPA so far. Infosys, TCS, Federal Bank, Tripada Group of Institutes, Trident Financials, Zip Hire, Amazon, EY, and Kotak Mahindra Bank are some of the top recruiters that took part in Gujarat University placement drive over the years.
Infrastructure: We have a well-structured and well-maintained infrastructure. It has over 23 schools, six centers of excellence and 65 departments. We have a 270-acre green campus with over 15,000 trees. We follow all the environment-friendly principles. Some of the Gujarat University facilities that we enjoy are free wi-fi, classrooms, laboratories, a library, a seminar hall, an auditorium and so on and so forth.
Faculty: Presently, Gujarat University has a faculty strength of 381+. All the professors are not only highly qualified but also provide the required guidance whenever necessary. Most of our faculty members are PhD holders. My interaction with the faculty members have been very good so far. Apart from academics, their enthusiasm for college events and fests is commendable.
Hostel: We have separate hostels for boys and girls. In our hostel, the total intake capacity is 196 students. We have single and double-seater rooms. Facilities provided in our hostel include tables, chairs, water coolers and a 24/7 power supply. Gujarat University boys hostel can accommodate a total of 550 students.
Overall: Hello, my name is Chandan Kumar Mandal, and I graduated from Gujarat University with a B.Tech in CSE. I chose this course because I come from a middle-class family and I needed to prepare for a defense exam, and the faculty is excellent in terms of teaching and communication with students. Almost all of the faculty are postgraduates with a m.com or another degree. Because I am a student there, this is a review of the university.
Placement: Gujarat University provides placement opportunities to qualified students. Companies such as TCS and Federal Bank, according to the Gujarat University official website, have invited students for placements in October and December 2022. Aside from that, the median package offered during Gujarat University PG 2-year placements in 2021 was INR 9.76 LPA, according to Gujarat University Report 2022.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library can all be scored 4 out of 5. A canteen is available at the college. The college does an excellent job in the field of sports and games. It does not provide students with dormitory facilities, hence there is no mess facility. Campus life is excellent. On campus, there are also numerous extracurricular activities. The library is excellent and well-maintained, with the best books and study materials. The classrooms are excellent and big. The college is located on the campus of Gujarat University.
Faculty: The faculty is well-educated and knowledgeable. All of the faculties have solid connections and come from good educational backgrounds. They have all passed the national eligibility test for lectureships. All faculty are PhD-level or higher, and some have specialisations in specific subjects and are well-known scientific personnel. The professors are really humble and down to earth; they will go out of their way to share their knowledge.
Hostel: Both males and girls can stay in Gujarat University's hostels. Every hostel has basic amenities such as water purifiers, a common area, a leisure room, a mess, a TV, laundry services, a security and monitoring system, and so on. The hostel facilities are excellent. There are 2 and 4-seater rooms available.
Overall: In 2021, I received my degree from Gujarat University. For students pursuing an M.Tech in information technology, it is an excellent university with an excellent learning environment. The results of a merit-based exam taken in the 12th grade decide admission. The older people here are very helpful. Gujarat most notably provides a range of possibilities for students to develop to their best potential. Many students benefit from promising professional opportunities and land respectable jobs to further their study. The hostel is great and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. With seating for more than 50 pupils, the classrooms are equally excellent.
Placement: In this college, we had done lots of researching. The professors here are also quite helpful. In the third year, I began my training, and in the last semester, I was hired by an IT firm. It is the ideal setting for college exposure, and the assistance received from many faculty members is also excellent. There are also government positions available here.
Infrastructure: Living in Ahmedabad, I've always wanted to study B.Tech there at Gujarat University. This is the place to be because to the excellent infrastructure, accessible transit, and good campus. On the Gujarat University campus, there are lots of hostels where you can stay. Each essential facility a student requires is present at our university. Classrooms there are air-conditioned. More than 50 students can be seated in a university classroom due to its size. Additionally, we have a hall and an auditorium where business and academia can interact. Students may use any instructional material at the library.
Hostel: I was concerned about leaving my hometown as well as the hostel lifestyle. However, as I began residing on campus, this impression shifted. We got access to a variety of amenities, including TV, fast internet, game rooms, a gym, etc. You'll feel at home in the hostels at Gujarat University thanks to the amenities and surroundings. The hostel canteen is reasonably priced and appropriate for the majority of students. They also provide sports facilities and medical attention. On the campus sports fields, students can participate in football, badminton, cricket, running, and other activities. In contrast, the Gujarat hostel has capacity for expansion and development.
