ICRI Pune was founded in 2004 and is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Furthermore, ICRI Pune collaborates with Ajeenkya DY-Patil University (ADPU), one of the best Universities in Pune. As a result of this collaboration, two new schools, the "School of Clinical Research & Healthcare Management" and the "School of Logistics & Aviation Management," have been established to give UGC-recognized UG and PG programmes to young applicants. ADYPU is one of the country's few institutions that focus on innovation, and it is at the vanguard of focusing on innovation and leading the convergence of humanities, business, and technology.

Since its establishment, the institute has been consistently growing with the goal of providing students with the greatest possible education. As part of the collaboration, ICRI Pune offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in science and management disciplines. All of the courses offered by ICRI Pune has been approved by UGC. In addition, the institute has IT-enabled classrooms that serve as the main focus for student learning.

ICRI Pune campus has an engaging learning environment that ensures students have access to state of the art facilities that inspire ideas and foster creativity. Students are encouraged to try new things, get their hands dirty, prototype, and create remarkable new concepts. The institute has a variety of facilities such as a library, conference halls, seminar halls, meeting halls, auditorium, computer labs, canteen, hostel, snack shop, book store, sports, and so on.

ICRI Pune also has a well-established Placement Cell that coordinates Internships and Pre-placement activities for the students. Students go through a variety of training modules that are oriented by a specific department or group of employees and can be adjusted to meet the needs of certain SOPs.
