The minimum admission requirement is a 10+2 diploma in Science (PCB) and English Core/Elective with an overall grade of 45% from a recognized board namely AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or another equivalent board. The student shall be medically fit for admission. Students appearing in class 12 science from the National Institute of Open School with 45% marks and above are also eligible. 

For Institute of Public Health and Hygiene Jammu GNM admission, the age shall be between 17 to 35 years. A candidate must have at least 40% overall marks and have completed their 10+2 studies in English and, preferably, Science (PCB). However, students who have completed their 10+2 in the arts with English or in the health sciences from a recognised university like AISSCE, CBSE, ICSE, SSCE, or another equivalent board with a minimum of 40% marks are also eligible. Provided, candidates who have finished their 10+2 vocational ANM under the CBSE Board or another equivalent board from the institution and have received 40% marks from it are also qualified for the IPHH GNM admission.

Candidates seeking Institute of Public Health and Hygiene Jammu MPHW admission shall be between 17 to 35 years old. Aspiring candidates s must have at least a 10+2 diploma from an accredited educational board to enrol for admission. The IPHH Jammu Multi Purpose Health Worker course is of 18 months, which includes a 6-month internship and training period.
