In 1954, the Rashtriya Vidya Samiti (R.V.S.) benevolent educational society created the city's first institute and named it Radha Krishan Sanatan Dharam (R.K.S.D.) College. The college provides 18 courses in six disciplines: IT, Science, Medical, Management, Commerce, and Banking. R.K.S.D. College offers popular degrees such as BSc, B.Com, BA, BBA, and BCA.

Currently, registration is open for physically open counselling 2023-24 for UG admission in R.K.S.D. College. The counselling is conducted for vacant seats.
