1. Report: Annual Sports Meet 2013 Every year SGOC organizes Annual sports meet for its students. The students are taken out for various indoor and outdoor exercises/ games, where they are taught to work in teams. Their skills and leadership qualities are molded through such events. So, this year also SGOC had organized Annual Sports Meet on 22nd and 23rd Feb, 2013.
2. On 18th June 2012, Vice chancellor (Dr. Rajneesh Arora) Punjab Technical University visited our college. Students presented various colorful performances like: dances and choreographies on female foeticide and dowry system. The V.C appreciated all the students and congratulate them on their achievements.
3. Next event organized was on 7th Feb 2012, HAWAN Ceremony followed by TALENT HUNT SHOW 2012. In this program the students were supposed to show their hidden talents in different categories like dancing, singing, extempore, poetry recitation, poster making, collage making and rangoli. The result for this competition is as follows:
- Kamla Kaur of B.Com 1st year stood first in speech on JAN LOK PAL BILL – need of the hour and poster making competition on the topic POVERTY.
- Manav Arora of class BBA 1st year stood first in extempore competition on the topic of DEMOCRACY.
- Jyoti of B.Com 1st year achieved 2nd position in poster making competition on the topic POVERTY.
- Komal and Swinky of B.Com got 1st prize in Rangoli competition.
- Rahul Roy of B.com stood 1st in BREAK DANCE competition.
- Bhawandeep Kaur of BBA 1st year stood 1st in Folk dance.
- Ravinder Singh of B.A stood 1st in WESTERN DANCE.
4. PMNOTEK was an inter college competition held at PATEL MEMORIAL NATIONAL COLLEGE, Rajpura, in which students of our college participated and proved to be performers by achieving various prizes.
5. Another challenge taken by our challengers was XENOS-2012, at Continental Group of Colleges. Our challengers achieved the following places:
- Birmirgaish Singh of MBA scored 1st prize in Kite Making and Flying.
- Maninder Singh of MBA stood 2nd in Kite Making and Flying.
- Honey Kumar and Malkeet Singh of MBA stood 2nd in Computer Assembly.
- Bhawandeep Kaur stood 1st in SOLO DANCE.
- Rahul Roy of B.Com stood 2nd in SOLO DANCE.
