Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, commonly known as MAFSU, is a state-owned university in Nagpur, Maharashtra dedicated to fishery sciences and dairy technology. The university was established in 2000 under the State Act No. 1998 (MAH.XVII of 1998). It has a total of six veterinary colleges, two fishery science colleges, two dairy technology colleges, one wildlife research and training centre, and three Krishi Vigyan Kendras under its umbrella.
MAFSU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The university offers a total of seven UG, PG, doctoral, and diploma programmes in the fields of animal husbandry, fishery sciences, and dairy technology.
