MGKVP Admission 2023: The counselling schedule for admission to the diploma and postgraduate courses was released. The counselling process for the Diploma, PG Diploma, M.A and M.Sc started on September 11, 2023. The last date for the counselling process for Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University admissions was September 15, 2023.

The Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University courses offered include diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level programmes. The courses are offered in a variety of fields such as humanities, law, commerce, science, fine arts, etc. The MGKVP fees range from Rs 2,275 to Rs 15,000. The fee structure will vary from course to course.

The Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) was established in 1921 and it is located in Varanasi (U.P). It was previously known as Kashi Vidyapith. The university was approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university obtained the NAAC accreditation in 2018.

The MGKVP Varanasi admissions to the UG and PG courses are based on the university’s dedicated entrance test, whereas for MBA and MCA, CUET PG results are considered for admission. The Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith application process for admission is conducted online on the official website. 

Candidates have to submit the application form, pay the MGKVP admission fees and submit the required documents to complete the application process successfully. The registrations have to be done online. Candidates by following the pointers given below can apply online for admission to MGKVP, to their desired courses.

• Go to the official website of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith.
• Hover over the ‘Student’ tab, and from there click on the ‘Admission’ option.
• Then click on the ‘Apply Online’ button.
• Applicants will be directed to the MGKVP Entrance Examination portal.
• Click on the ‘Applicant Login’ section, and log in with your Username, Password and Captcha.
• To apply for the entrance test, you must click on the ‘Apply for Entrance Exams’ tab.
• A drop down will appear with the options for: Certificate/ Diploma/ UG Courses Entrance Exam Application, PG Diploma/ PG Courses Entrance Exam Application, and MCA Admission Application Form.
• Click on the desired course, in which you want to apply.
• Choose the ‘Campus’ and ‘Degree Level’ then click on ‘Proceed to Application’
• You will be directed to the MGKVP application form. 
• Fill out the form carefully and upload your photo and signature.
• Click on ‘Save Registration’.
• It is advised that you take a printout as well for further use.

The placements at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith are organised and overseen by the dedicated campus placement cell. The placement coordinator is Dr Raman Pant who is in charge of all the activities conducted regarding this. Exams for the odd semester start in August and end in December, whereas exams for the even semester begin in January and end in June each year. The Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith cut off 2023 is the minimum score needed for admission to the Diploma, UG and PG courses offered here. The cut off is determined by taking into consideration the scores obtained in the entrance examinations. To secure admission, all the candidates irrespective of their categories, must meet the MGKVP cut off list.

• Dr. Bhagwandas Central Library: Established in 1921, the library was originally known as Bhagwandas Swadhyaypith. Dr Bhagwandas was a well-known philosopher and the first vice-chancellor of the university. The library has a varied collection of books in humanities, social sciences, and science, and is in its developing stage to meet the needs of the contemporary education system.
