Dear student, with a combined UG rank of 4841 in UPCATET, you may have good chances of getting into B.Tech in Biotechnology. But this will depend on other factors like specific college cutoffs and categories.

Dear student,

Since you have not mentioned the exam against which you have scored these ranks, Im just going to go ahead with an assumption that you have either appeared for UP CATET exam for B.Sc or JEE Mains for B. Tech

~If you look at 2024 cut-off data, for B.Sc Agriculture (SC Category) students got admission up to rank 2200 for B.Sc Agriculture.

~Similarly, for B.Tech Biotechnology (SC Category) the general expected cutoff for B.Tech Biotechnology (UPCATET) is around 320-350 marks. For B.Tech, the general ranks in the previous years went up to 6000-10000 for Computer Engineering/IT .

So it seems like your SC rank of 1390 is well within the previous year's cutoff of 2200 for B.Sc (Agriculture) admissions.

While specific SC ranks are not explicitly mentioned for B.Tech, your SC rank of 1390 is quite strong. Given that B.Tech cutoffs (general) are often higher than some B.Sc courses, and considering the 21% SC reservation, you have a good chance for B.Tech courses as well.

Overall, your SC category rank of 1390 is a significant advantage.

You have a strong chance for B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture & you also have a good chance for B.Tech courses like Biotechnology or Agricultural Engineering, given your strong SC rank and the reservation policy.

Dear student, it won't be easy to secure a BVSc seat in a government college with a combined rank of 4969 in UPCATET for the general category. To get a BVSc seat in a government college, you would need to 1000 or even better rank,
