The college has following facilities:
The college has separate hostel facility for about 90 boys. It is located inside the campus close to the college. The hostel runs a mess with a modern kitchen to ensure adequate hygiene. At the time of admission to the hostel, the students are required to pay as sum of Rs. 18,000/- including deposits. Since the hostel facilities are limited, the allotment of the seats for the hostel is done based on the need of the candidates. The general mess is run on a dividing system i.e., the mess expenses during the month are divided among the number of students.
For Girl Students:
Hostel facility is available in the campus hostel.
General Discipline:
The Students shall be goverened by the disciplinary rules framed by the management from time to time. Any student not obeying these rules od discipline may be expelled from the Polytechnic.
Irregular attendance, indifference to homework or sessional work or undesirable conduct of any sort on the part of the student during his stay in Polytechnic will entail immediate punishment by the authorities which may extend even to expulsion depending on the gravity of the misconduct.
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in the Polytechnic and Hostel.
J S S Polytechnic, Mysore has the NCC unit called 1 KAR ENGR., COY Company . The ANO ( Associate NCC Officer ) of the College is Mr.Harsha Kumar S, Lecturer in Mechatronics Department. The Total Number of NCC Cadets in 2012-13 Batch is 71 ,out of which 35 Cadets are B-certificate holders and 36 are having C-certificates.
The B certificate Exam for 2012-13 Batch is conducted on 16th & 17th of February 2013.
C certificate Exam for 2012-13 Batch conducted on 23rd & 24th of February 2013.
NCC CADER conducted from 28th of January 2013 to 8th February 2013 in J S S Polytechnic ,Mysore Campus. NCC Best Cadets Prizes distribution day conducted on 23rd March 2013.
