What is the Aikyashree Scholarship?

Aikyashree is a scholarship program administered by the West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation, abbreviated as WBMDFC. The scholarship aims to help eligible and proficient students of West Bengal studying at high school or college levels. The Government of West Bengal and its subsidiary boards manage and run the Aikyashree Scholarship program, which provides financial aid to excellent, deserving, and underprivileged students in the state to help them continue their education without facing any financial constraints in the process. To provide financial aid to students belonging to low-income families and especially minority groups, the Aikyashree scholarship was formed as an initiative.

The Aikyashree scholarship is a top scholarship that is a gateway for students from the WB minority community. By registering through the WBMDFC (West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation) Aikyashree Scholarship Portal, students from Class 1 to Ph.D. can apply for several of West Bengal’s Government scholarship schemes and programs. To provide additional socio-economic benefits and educational possibilities to minority students, especially Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains, WBMDFC established the Aikyashree Scholarship Program in West Bengal. The Aikyashree scholarship is fully financed by the West Bengal State Government and covers the tuition expenditures of all the listed and deserving candidates. Aikyashree Scholarship Amount

The scholarship amount for the Aikyashree Scholarship varies according to category. The scholarship amount ranges from INR 1,000- INR 11000 from class 1 to 10. Similarly, for higher secondary education i.e. from classes 11 and 12, the scholarship amount ranges from INR 10,000 to INR 17,000. For Ph.D. courses or any other higher technical courses or doctorate degree, the scholarship amount ranges from INR 22,000 to INR 30,000.

  • The candidates must belong to either the SC, ST, or OBC category.
  • The student must be a domicile of the state of West Bengal.

  • The student must be a domicile/resident of the state of West Bengal.
  • In terms of educational qualification, the student must be studying in class 11 or 12. Also, the student must have secured at least 75% marks in both classes  10th and 12th. Also, the candidate must be pursuing graduation in Engineering, Medical, or any Technical/Professional/Humanities fields. The candidate must take regular undergraduate or postgraduate-level degree courses.
  • The total family income of the student for this scholarship should not exceed INR 2.5 lakh per annum.
  • This scholarship grant is also available to students who are pursuing M.Phil. and doctoral degrees (Ph.D. degrees) mainly at state-supported universities.
  • The scholarships will be presented to outstanding and meritorious students based on merit and financial need. 

Hindi Scholarship, West Bengal

  • To avail this scholarship, the candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
  • The student must be a resident of the state of West Bengal.
  • The student must come from a state that does not speak Hindi as a native language.
  • The student must have obtained at least 60 percent marks in the last exam, with Hindi as one of the subjects, without any compartments.
  • The student must have successfully completed one of the following course programs: Madhyamik, higher secondary, graduation, postgraduate, or any other degree program that is similar to these courses.

Step 1- Registration Process

Step 4- Complete the Student Login

  • To complete the student login process, login with your User ID and Password on the Student Log-In window.
  • After logging in, enter all the required details and information like Basic Information, Academic Information, and Bank Account Information.

Step 5- Check the application form and submit it. Take a printout for further processing.
