CEPT University admission 2024 has begun. UCEED results 2024 for B.Des admissions has been released. Candidates can visit the official website to check their results. 

CEPT University admission forms can be filled out online only through the official website. Admission in the courses offered by CEPT University is based on the entrance test. Some of the course’s 50% seats can be filled through ACPC and the remaining 50% can be as per CEPT guidelines. 

A valid score in the NATA exam is required for CEPT University admissions in courses like B.Des and B.Arch. For B.Tech/ B.E a JEE Main score is necessary, and for M.Plan a score in CAT, MAT or CMAT exam is required. CEPT University's selection process is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exams, The other accepted entrance exams include UCEED and CEPT Entrance Exam.

CEPT Ahmedabad B.Arch Eligibility Criteria 2019

Eligibility criteria for All India seats:-

Interested candidate should be Indian. A candidate must have passed 12th examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the 10 + 2 level examination from any State board or its equivalent in CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/IB or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate from Technical Board of Gujarat or any other state or from a college/university and also should have meet the minimum qualifying marks in NATA.

Eligibility criteria for ACPC seats:-

A candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination with minimum 50%marks (45% for SC/ST/SEBC category) in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination from any State board or its equivalent in CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/IB or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate from Technical Board of Gujarat or from a college/university however, the school/college/university in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of Gujarat or in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin. Also, Candidate should have to meet the minimum qualifying marks in NATA. 

CEPT Ahmedabad B.Arch Application Process 2019

• For All India seats, interested candidates need to visit the official website of the University and click on ‘Admission’ Button. After that, do registration with email id and set a new password. Don’t forget to write down the registered email id and password for future reference. Then, log-in with created credentials and fill the application form carefully. Once the form duly filled, then submit and make a payment of Rs. 1500 / - via debit/credit card/ net banking.
• Online admission offer will be sent to the candidates as per the merit rank through the registered email id of the candidate. The candidate shall be prepared to pay the fees in 2-3 working days after receiving the online offer.
• For ACPC seats, interested candidates can do registration through the website www.gujacpc.nic.in. To register as a new candidate click the ‘CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION’ button. The registration window will be displayed on the computer screen and select the option of choice for “bachelor of Architecture” discipline. After that, the candidate has to fill all the mandatory details carefully. Then, verify the entries made and if every detail is correct then choose 'I accept' option at the bottom of the form if the declaration is acceptable. If the candidate selects ‘I accept’ option, he will be allowed to click the ‘SUBMIT’ button and take a print out. It is mandatory for all the candidates including Open/General category, to confirm the registration at the Architecture help centre. For confirmation of registration at the help centre, the candidate has to take a printout of the registration details (two copies) and self-attested relevant documents. Also, the candidate and parent/guardian of the candidate has to compulsorily sign the registration details at the space provided.  The officer at the help centre will retain registration details and set of self-attested documents, and issue the registration slip with signature and seal.  After successful completion of the registration process, provisional merit number(rank) will be allotted to the eligible candidates and that can be a check on the official website. For filling up the choices of institutes, the candidate has to login to the website www.gujacpc.nic.in by using login ID and password. Once the choice filling period is over, the ACPC will process for allotment of seats and declare the status of allotment on the website.

CEPT Ahmedabad B.Arch Selection Process 2019

The selection of the candidates will be based on the sum of 50 percentage weightage of the aggregate marks of all subjects of the qualifying examination (HSC examination) and the 50 percentage weightage of the valid NATA score obtained in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture. 50% of the seats of B.Arch course will be filled through Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat and the remaining 50% will be filled as per the CEPT university rules and regulations.

For Bachelor of Interior Design

Eligibility criteria for All India seats:-

Interested candidate should be Indian. Candidate must have passed HSCE (10+2) Examination from any other State board with Science Stream or its equivalent in CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/ISB/IB with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer as optional subject (all at higher/advance level), with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Eligibility criteria for ACPC seats:-

Candidate must have passed HSC examination from Gujarat state board or any other Board of Gujarat with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer as optional subject (all at higher/advance level), securing a minimum aggregate score of 50% for all subjects for general category (45% for SEBC/SC/ST/EWSs)) candidates.

Note:- Those candidates, who are awaiting for HSC result, will have to get a certificate from the principal of the high school that he/she has appeared for in the XII standard examination of the Science stream and those candidates, who have applied for verification/rechecking of marks may also apply and submit the rechecking certificate.

For Bachelor of Design (Building Products and Systems/Furniture)

Interested candidates should have passed the qualifying examination (Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination) or its equivalent examination from any streams (Science, Commerce and Arts/Humanities), from Gujarat state board or any other State boards or CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/ISB/IB, with a minimum aggregate score of 60% for all subjects or passed the Diploma (10+3 pattern) of Civil, mechanical, architecture, or architectural assistantship stream with minimum 60% aggregate marks from Technical Board of Gujarat or any other state or from a college/university.

Once the entrance exam conducted and result get announced on the website, then the counselling process will be conducted for shortlisted candidates. At the time of counselling, shortlisted candidates can secure admission at CEPT University by paying the full admission fee.

For ACPC seats, interested candidates can do registration online through the website www.gujacpc.nic.in. To register as a new candidate click the ‘CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION’

button. Fill the details and click the register button then, the candidate gets a message to validate the email address. After successful verification message will appear, then use the verified email address and created a password to do log-in. Before filling the application form, don’t forget to read the instructions. Once the candidate filled the application form completely, then click on ‘Submit and Pay’ button and make the payment of Rs 1500/- via debit/credit card/net banking. After that, download the application form, attachments and receipt of payment.

The evaluation process will be conducted in which all the received applications will be scrutinized based on information provided/uploaded in the application forms. This scrutiny is to check whether the applicant meets the eligibility criteria. Then, all eligible applicants will be called for the CEPT aptitude test. It is mandatory for all the eligible applicants to appear in the aptitude test to be conducted by CEPT University for considering in the merit list of admission. At a time of counselling, candidates are required to be present and will be admitted in the order of the final merit list on the spot.

For Bachelor of Interior Design

 Candidates will be selected on the basis of aggregate score of HSC (40% weightage) and performance in the aptitude test (60% weightage) at CEPT University, Ahmedabad.

CEPT Ahmedabad M.Arch Eligibility Criteria 2019

For M.Arch. in Architectural Design

Interested candidates should have Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B. Arch) or equivalent recognized by the council of Architecture (COA) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates. 

For M.Arch in Conservation & Regeneration

Candidates should have B.Arch. degree or B.E./B.Tech (Structural, Civil), B. A in Archaeology, Bachelors in Interior Design (Minimum 4 years), Bachelors in Urban Design or Planning (Minimum 4 years) degree with at least 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates in the qualifying degree.

For M.Arch in Architectural History and Theory

Candidates should have an undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s Degree) from recognized colleges with 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates in the qualifying degree.

Evaluation of applications will be processed in three stages as mentioned:-

1.Scrutiny for Eligibility: - Experts Committee will shortlist the eligible candidates on the basis of curriculum vitae, work experience and last qualifying exam marks, Statement of purpose, references and portfolio.

2.Aptitude Test and Personal Interview: - Shortlisted candidates will be called for a common admission test followed by a personal interview for the final decision on the admissions.

For Master of Design in Interior Design/ International Master of Interior Architectural Design

Interested candidate should have any of the following degrees with at least 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates in the qualifying degree:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or Design or equivalent, awarded upon completion of a course of a minimum four years duration
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture recognized by the Council of Architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology (five-year program)
• Diploma in Interior Design of four years duration (12 + 4), provided that the program is considered equivalent to a four-year degree program by the equivalence committee of CEPT University.

For Master of Design in Furniture Design/ Master of Design in Building Products and Systems

Interested candidate should have any of the following degrees with at least 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates in the qualifying degree:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture recognized by the Council of Architecture,
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design & furniture Design (four years or more),
• Diploma and/or Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or Design of minimum four years duration (12 + 4), provided that the program is considered equivalent to a degree program by the Equivalence Committee of CEPT University,
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or production engineering.
