For B.Arch, the NATA 2024 additional exam is on August 24, 2024, for B.Tech, GUJCET 2025 is expected to be held on March 31, 2025 and JEE Main 2025 application form will be released by November 2024 and the exam will be conducted in January 2025, admission to M.Tech is based on GATE, the registration will commence on August 24, 2024, and exams will be held on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. September 09, 2025Call for Papers - Last Date to Submit Abstracts for Conference on Vernacular Architecture - The last date to submit abstracts for the conference titled 'Reframing Vernacular Architecture for a Decolonised World' is 15 October 2025. Abstracts should be 250 words long and can include one supporting image (optional). Along with the abstract, a two-line biography and a link to the CV that includes a bibliography of previously authored content must be submitted. The selection will be based on the quality of writing, research, and relevance to the conference theme. Selected authors will be invited to submit full papers for publication after the conference. August 26, 2025BUILDSPAN Competition Announcement - The Faculty of Technology, CEPT University invites students to participate in BUILDSPAN, an exciting hands-on bridge design and making challenge. Participants will use given materials and real-world constraints to design, build, and test model bridges for their strength, performance, and aesthetics. This competition is organized as part of Engineers’ Day 2025 celebrations, fostering innovation, teamwork, and the true spirit of engineering. August 14, 2025CEPT Signs MoU with Nottingham Trent University - CEPT University and Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU, signifying the partnership between the two institutions, was presented during the ‘International Seminar: Research and Practice in Historic Places,’ held on Jul 24 at CEPT. This partnership is a step forward in strengthening academic and research engagement in the wider domain of cultural heritage. The MoU sets the framework for a range of collaborative activities, including the development of joint research capacities, supervision and examination of PhD students, staff and student mobility, knowledge exchange on research and teaching methodologies, and professional training development programmes. This agreement builds on a well-established track record of academic collaboration, including faculty and PhD student exchanges, reciprocal visits, and joint events, bringing together faculty, researchers, and practitioners from both institutions to share insights and advance interdisciplinary, cross-cultural knowledge. A key milestone in this journey has been the establishment of the Cultural Heritage Perspectives International Research Group—a joint collaborative network by NTU and CEPT. This group aims to foster joint research, expand scholarly dialogue, and serve as a dynamic open platform to coordinate, promote, and share research activities of its members and the wider network.
August 13, 2025Book Talk: Living Together — More-Than-Human Ecologies for Architectural Thinking - Join us for a Book Talk on 'Living Together — More-Than-Human Ecologies for Architectural Thinking' by authors Sonal Mithal and Akshar Gajjar. The event will take place on Wednesday, 13 August 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Sagra Basement, CEPT University. The book discusses collaborative architecture that includes the agency of plants and other species, advocating for a holistic vision in architectural practice. The talk will be followed by a conversation with moderator Melissa Smith. This event is open to all.
About CEPT University
CEPT University is accepting applications for admission to the academic session 2024-25. For B.Des admissions, UCEED 2024 results has been released on the official website (uceed.iitb.ac.in). CEPT University was previously known as ‘Center for Environment, Planning & Technology’; established by the Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) with the support of the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India over 56 years ago in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Until 2002 the institute was autonomous and recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). From 2002 to 2005 it was affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University. In 2005, the Government of Gujarat integrated CEPT as a university and the University was recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and also recognized by UGC in 2007. CEPT NIRF ranking 2025 is 6th under the Architecture and Planning category.
CEPT University is a set of four different schools that consists of the School of Architecture (SA), School of Planning (SP), School of Building Science and Technology, and School of Interior Designing. CEPT University courses include UG, PG and doctoral programs in various areas such as Architecture, Planning, etc. They believe in providing quality education and hands-on training to its learners in the area of designing, planning, building and managing human abodes.CEPT University fees lean on the higher curve, but they offer scholarships and well to meritorious students providing a fee concession. The CEPT Ahmedabad accepts NATA scores to offer admission to its B.Arch programme. An applicant must meet the minimum qualifying scores in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) exam as specified by the Council of Architecture (CoA) for that particular year.
Along with that, the candidate must qualify for the CEPT University eligibility criteria for B.Arch. It includes passing Class 12 in a relevant stream with 45% marks or a three-year diploma in any stream with mathematics as a compulsory subject after Class 10.
