GCTE Dharamshala Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

In session 2015-16 admission in engineering courses will be on the basis of JEE(main) 2015 examination conducted by CBSE. In the merit list of JEE(main) 60% weightage of JEE(main) marks and 40% weightage of 12th marks will be given. Directorate of Technical education has proposed rules of admission for engineering courses and submitted to the state government for approval (session 2015-16).

Educational Qualifications

The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC, ST, OBC, Physically challenged).

Age

There is no upper age limit for In-service Teachers.

Other Instructions

A minimum of five years regular service in the concerned cadre is essential.

Seniority in the cadre will form the criterion of selection.

The date of joining in the concerned cadre and cadre seniority number must be verified by Deputy Director of Education along with permission to undergo the training.

It will be the sole responsibility of the In-service teacher to get study leave (if Applicable) sanctioned from Higher Authorities. The college shall not be responsible for any problem arising out of non-sanction of study leave.

Subject Combination:

(A) Non-Medical Stream:

B. Sc. Pass course with Physics, Mathematics and any other science subject.

Or

B. Sc. Pass course with Chemistry, Mathematics and any other science subject.

Or

B. Sc. Honours in Physics with Mathematics as subsidiary subject.

Or

B. Sc. Honours in Mathematics with Physics or Chemistry as subsidiary subject.

(B) Arts Stream:

B.A. Pass course with English, Hindi or Sanskrit and at least one of the following subjects’ viz. History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology and Mathematics.

Or

B.A. Honours in with English, Hindi or Sanskrit and at least one of the following as subsidiary or additional subsidiary subjects viz. History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology and Mathematics.

Or

B.A. Honours in History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology and Mathematics with any of the following as subsidiary or additional subsidiary subjects viz. English, Hindi, and Sanskrit.

Or

B.A. Honours with classics having Sanskrit and English and in additional to this, any of the following subjects i.e. History and Political Science.

(C) Commerce Stream:

B. Com. (Pass Course)/ B. Com. (Honours) with any of the following languages-English, Hindi, or Sanskrit.

For Others

The students, who opt for admission in GCTE Dharamshala during centralized counselling, have to fill the admission form of the college and deposit the requisite dues in the specified time period.
