National Institute of Technology Hamirpur is one of the country's 31 NITs, founded on August 7, 1986, as Regional Engineering College, a collaborative and cooperative venture of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh. At the time of its founding, NIT Hamirpur only had two departments, Civil and Electrical Engineering, each with a 30-student intake.
It was elevated to the National Institute of Technology and given the status of Deemed University on June 26, 2002. NIT Hamirpur is a national institute established by an act of Parliament, the National Institute of Technology Act 2007, which the President of India signed on June 5, 2007. The JEE Main application form 2022 has been extended until April 5. In addition, the April session of the JEE Main 2022 exam has been delayed. JEE Main 2022 April session test will be held on April 21, 24, 25, 29, and May 1 and 4. The exam date for the second session (May) has not been changed and will take place between May 24 and 29.
