Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) admissions are open for the year 2025-25. The university has two ways of entry or two different admission processes such as the Government Quota (GQ) and the Management Quota (MQ) admissions. GQ admissions are based on merit, considering the candidate’s performance in HSC or equivalent exams, with eligibility requiring subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. In contrast, admissions to MQ are managed by the Association of Management of Coimbatore Anna University Affiliated Colleges. Students receive a Provisional Allotment Order, which the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai then approves. Final admission is confirmed upon document verification and fee payment.
To get admission in Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), the candidates need to meet an eligibility criteria for their admissions. The candidate must pass in HSC (academic) or equivalent with 45% for general in math, physics, and chemistry, 40% for BC/BC Muslims, MBC, DNC, and SC/SCA/ST
1. Admission for First Year B.E. Courses
A pass in the HSC academic or its equivalent or in the vocational stream with engineering / Technology vocational subjects or any one or two related subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, or any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education and Training / Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu / Universities in Tamil Nadu. As regards improvement marks, only the marks obtained in the first improvement can be used by a candidate to his / her advantage in seeking admission. The first improvement examination is the examination taken for the first time by the candidate, either in one subject or more subjects, after passing the qualifying examination.
2. Admission for Second Year B.E. (Lateral Entry):
Candidates seeking admission directly to the second year are required to have passed the Diploma Examination in Engineering / Technology conducted by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, or equivalent courses.
The rank list for MBA and MCA programs from the TANCET 2025 will be published on July 14, 2025. The grievance redressal period will take place from July 15–18, 2025. Counselling is conducted in a three-step process, with online registration, choice filling, and seat allotment based on merit, category, and availability.
