Easwari Engineering College was established in the Academic Year 1996-1997, with, Ramapuram run by the SRM Group and focused to its ideals and steadily embraces quality, values and tradition.  The Central Library started its functioning from then onwards.

The Central Library is situated in the First & Second floor of PG Block with the area about 2100 sq.m. The seating arrangement is designed to accommodate 450 users at a time. The reading halls are air conditioned and located in all the sections for the convenience of the users; every bay has guides and shelf locator to navigate the materials.

A number of specialized Science, Engineering and Humanities discipline books are available and for the effective and better governance of the resources, the entire collection is divided into various subject headings. The books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) scheme. The Library subscribes more number of print & online periodicals. All the Library operations are Computerized and barcode technology implemented.

Students Activities & Clubs


The NCC in India was formed with the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948. It was raised on 16 July 1948.The National Cadet Corps is the military cadet corps with its Head Quarters at New Delhi.It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis.The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools,colleges and universities all over india.The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades.The officers and cadetshave no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preferences over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.


The overall aim of National Service Scheme is to give an extension dimension to the higher education system and orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institution.


YUGA (Youth Under Green Awareness) club was started to create awareness, build attitudes and help students take up activities in real world.

 Grievance Redressal Cell

The Grievance Redressal Cell was constituted to probe into the student grievances. The Grievance Redressal Cell attempts to address genuine problems and complaints of students whatever be the nature of the problem.

Industry Institute Partnership Cell


The Industry Institute Partnership Cell was organized in the year 2007, as continuous interaction between academia and industry which is the need of the hour. It provides a platform for both the students as well as faculty members to be aware of industry expectations of skill sets required for students. This enables students to be aware of the lacunae in their skills and provides an opportunity to upgrade them. It also enables Faculty to be aware of industry expectations & train students to meet these expectations. Faculty members through FDPs are also provided an opportunity to constantly upgrade their knowledge. This will enhance the Teaching Learning Process and enable the Institution to produce quality students. Such interactions can thus be of mutual benefit to the institution as well as the industry.

Youth Red Cross

The Youth Red Cross is the most important constituent of its mother organization, Indian Red Cross. It is a group movement organized at the initial stages for students between 18 and 25 years of age within the colleges. A qualified lecturer is recognized as the leader and he is called the Programme Officer under his guidance, the students are trained and encouraged to manage the affairs of the group, electing their own office-bearers. YRC in Easwari Engineering College was established in the academic year 2002-2003 as per the orders of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Rotaract club

The Rotaract club of SRM Easwari is a 16-year old club, with a rich history of some of the best events and leaders our Rotaract district 3230 has ever created. With one Rotary International award in 2004-2005, One Rotaract Outstanding project of the year award in 2013, 1000+ projects done in over the last 10 years, our club is one of the Top 5 College based clubs in our district,among 132 other clubs. The Rotaract Club focuses on performing activities pertaining to the community and the society in the most innovative and creative manner, while inculcating ample levels of entertainment and fun. Community Services focuses on giving back to the society while Professional Services center on providing formal and intellectually useful facilities. International Services involve conducting and organizing events along with other Rotaract Clubs, which in turn strengthen inter-personal skills. Cultural activities nurture cultural and on-stage talents in students, taking their exposure to the next level. The Rotaract Club of Easwari Engineering College was awarded the presidential citation signed by Ron D. Burton, President, Rotary International, indicating that the club has done projects in Rotary’s area of focus.
