Despite being a 168 year old college, Krishnagar Government College believes in the successful combination of the traditional and the modern. In course of time, the college has augmented its infrastructure and has embraced with open hands the modern technologies for upgradation of the learning resources.
The following are the major highlights in this criterion related to Infrastructure and Learning Resources:-
There is a provision for accommodating outstation students’ in the students’hostel.Several annex buildings are allotted for Principal?s quarter, two Boys? hostels, one under construction Girls? Hostel, staff quarters, students? canteen, separate common rooms for boys and girls, gymnasium, cheap canteen for students and teachers etc.The students from distant areas are provided with hostel facility.Hostel facilities exist for the students and are also being enhanced for female students. Such an infrastructure can be better harnessed for disseminating higher education to the surrounding hinterland.And in 2013 a Seminar Library has also been started in the student Hostel with a small number of text and reference books.A Boys’ Gymnasium also exists beside the Boys’ Hostel.
The NSS WINTER SPECIAL CAMP, 2014 was organized by NSS UNIT-I and UNIT-II of Krishnagar Govt. College at Shambhunagar village in the Ruipukur Gram Panchayat and Shimultala village in the Depara Gram Panchayat, respectively, located in Krishnagar-I. The units jointly executed the programme and activities run in parallel in both the villages performed by the volunteers of the two units.
