Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU) admission 2026-27 is open for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. Applications are accepted online at admission.dsuniversity.ac.in. DSU Trichy offers admission in 2 ways: direct admission based on merit score, and secondly, through the national entrance exam.

MBBS admission is through NEET UG followed by Tamil Nadu Medical Counselling (TNMC) or MCC central counselling. NATA or JEE Paper 2 for B.Arch, and NEET PG for MD/MS. Direct merit-based admission applies to B.Tech, Allied Health Sciences, B.Pharm, Agriculture, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, GNM, Law, MBA, MCA, MHA, M.Tech, and AHS PG and Arts & Science, where Class 12 marks or graduation marks determine selection. 

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University course admission for BTech requires candidates 45% aggregate in Class 12 with PCM. Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University PhD admission is through the Research Entrance Test (RET); students who have already qualified the NET/SET/GATE are exempt from the RET entrance test.

DSU eligibility criteria 2026 differ by programme level and school. All UG candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission. B.Sc Nursing and B.Sc (Hons.) Passed a relevant Bachelor's degree of minimum 3-year duration with minimum 50% marks (all categories); the degree must be in a relevant discipline as per the programme applied for; NEET PG mandatory for MD/MS; final-year graduation students may apply provisionally.

Master's degree in the relevant subject with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade; B.E./B.Tech graduates with a CGPA 8.5 and a valid GATE score (or CSIR/UGC-NET/ICAR/DST-INSPIRE Fellowship) are eligible for Direct PhD; NET/SET/GATE qualified candidates are exempt from the Research Entrance Test; a personal interview on campus is mandatory for all candidates

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University PG admission for most programmes like MBA, MCA, M.Tech, MPT, and AHS PG is merit-based on graduation marks. MD and MS require a valid NEET PG score. MHA admission is restricted to healthcare graduates from AHS, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, or MBBS backgrounds.

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University PhD admission is through the Research Entrance Test (RET) followed by a Personal Interview on campus. Candidates with valid NET, SET, GATE, CSIR, ICAR, or DST-INSPIRE Fellowships are exempt from RET and go directly to the Personal Interview. BE/BTech graduates with a CGPA of 8.5 and a valid GATE score are eligible for a direct PhD without a Master's degree.

Eligible full-time PhD scholars receive a DSU doctoral stipend of INR 20,000 per month along with a contingency grant of INR 50,000 per annum for research activities, provided for a minimum of 2 years and extendable based on research progress.

DSU Samayapuram admission runs through a single online portal at admission.dsuniversity.ac.in for all programmes from B.Tech to PhD. The process has 5 stages. What changes between courses is Stage 3 — the entrance exam requirement. Everything else follows the same path.

Stage 1: Register on the Admission Portal

• Visit admission.dsuniversity.ac.in and click 'Apply Now' or 'Admissions Open 2026-27'.
• Select your School and Programme from the dropdown.
• Register with a valid email ID and mobile number. Your login credentials are sent to the registered email.
• MBBS candidates: Do not apply through the DSU portal. Register directly on the TNMC portal (tnmedicalselection.net) or MCC portal (mcc.nic.in) after NEET 2026 results are declared.

Stage 2: Fill and Submit the Application Form

• Log in and fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
• Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature.
• Enter your Class 12 board and marks. If results are awaited, mention 'appearing' — you can update scores later.
• For PG and PhD: enter your graduation / post-graduation details and any entrance exam scores (NATA for B.Arch, NEET for Nursing).
• Pay the INR 1,000 application fee online via UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking. A processing fee of INR 200 may apply depending on the payment method.
• Download and save the confirmation receipt with your application number.

Stage 3: Entrance Exam 

• B.Tech, Allied Health Sciences, B.Pharm, Agriculture, Physiotherapy, Law, and Arts & Science: No entrance exam. Admission is merit-based on 10+2 marks.
• MBBS: NEET UG 2026 score required. Admission is through TNMC (state quota) or MCC (central quota) counselling only.
• B.Arch: Valid NATA 2026 or JEE Main Paper 2 score is mandatory. Without this score, the B.Arch application is not eligible.
• B.Sc Nursing: NEET UG 2026 mandatory as per INC norms.
• PhD: Research Entrance Test (RET) on campus. NET/SET/GATE/CSIR/ICAR/DST-INSPIRE qualified candidates skip the RET and go directly to the Personal Interview.

Stage 4: Merit List/Shortlist

• For merit-based programmes (B.Tech, AHS, B.Pharm, Agriculture, Physiotherapy, Law), DSU prepares a merit list based on 10+2 percentage. Shortlisted candidates receive an offer letter via email and on the admission portal.
• For MBBS: seat allotment is handled by TNMC/MCC. DSU has no role in this process. Candidates will receive allotment letters from the respective counselling body.
• For PhD: shortlisted candidates are called for a Personal Interview on campus. The interview is mandatory for all applicants, including GATE/NET qualified candidates.
• For MBA: the published eligibility criteria at DSU does not list a separate group discussion or personal interview for MBA. Admission appears to be merit-based on graduation marks. Confirm with the admissions office at admissions@dsuniversity.ac.in for the exact 2026 selection process.

Stage 5: Document Verification & Fee Payment

• On receiving the offer letter, report to the DSU Samayapuram campus with all original documents.
• Pay the one-time Admission Fee and the initial joining payment.
• Online payment to: Indian Overseas Bank, A/C No. 129402000282828, IFSC IOBA0001294, Perambalur Branch.
• Your seat is confirmed only after fee payment and document verification. Do not delay this step — the seat goes to the next candidate on the merit list if you don't respond within the stipulated time.

All DSU applications (except MBBS) are submitted online at admission.dsuniversity.ac.in. There is no offline application process. MBBS candidates must apply through the TNMC portal (state quota) or MCC portal (central quota) after NEET 2026 results.

• Submit the form and download the confirmation receipt with your application number.
• On receiving the offer letter, report to campus with original documents. Pay INR 10,000 admission fee (one time) and INR 30,000 initial payment to confirm your seat.

Carry all original documents plus two sets of self-attested photocopies on the day of document verification. Missing documents will delay or cancel your seat confirmation.

The application fee at DSU is INR 1,000 for all categories — UG, PG, and PhD. The fee is non-refundable once submitted. A payment processing fee of INR 200 may additionally apply depending on the payment method chosen.
