Grading System in India: CBSE, UGC & Indian Universities Academic Grading

Grading System in India: The grading system in India is widely followed across CBSE schools, UGC-recognized institutes, and Indian universities, providing a standardized way to evaluate students’ academic performance. Globally, grading systems are recognized as one of the most effective tools for assessing learning outcomes. Introduced in 2009, the grading system replaced the traditional percentage-based evaluation under the updated education policy. Designed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), it ensures fair assessment and minimizes disparities in the education system. The scale of the university is considered while assigning grades, which allows students of similar capabilities to be evaluated fairly, rather than being separated by minor differences in marks.

Dear student,

The Government College of Education, Narnaul, offers the Bachelor of Education degree for a duration of 2 years. You can also find Political Science as one of the subjects in the B.Ed syllabus of the college. However, if you seek to specialise in this subject, it appears that the institute does not offer a Political Science specialisation in their B.Ed course. You must have completed a UG degree from a recognised college or university to be eligible for admission here.
