ICFAI University Raipur Scholarship 2026: Amount, Eligibility & GPA Rules

ICFAI University Raipur Scholarship 2026 offers merit-based awards to UG and PG students, ranging from INR 4,000 to INR 1,08,000 for the program over the full course duration. The scholarships fall under two schemes: Type A rewards your Class XII or graduation percentage, and Type B rewards your semester-wise CGPA at the university. Both schemes run independently, so a top-performing student can claim Type A and Type B awards together in the same semester. All Type A scholarships continue semester after semester only if the student maintains a minimum 6.0 GPA (8.00 for B.Tech 90%+ scorers) in the previous semester. The scheme applies uniformly across categories — there is no separate SC/ST/OBC scholarship announced in the 2026 prospectus, but a separate 25% seat reservation exists for Chhattisgarh domicile students.

ICFAI University Raipur offers two types of merit-based scholarships for the 2026–27 batch, making it easier for students to get financial support. The first is based on your past academic performance, and the second depends on how well you perform during the course. These scholarships are given purely on merit, which means there is no income limit, no separate application, and no category-based quota.

• The Type A scholarship is awarded at the time of admission. If you score 60% or above in your qualifying exam (marks may vary for some PG courses), you are automatically considered. 
• The Type B scholarship is given after each semester and rewards the top 10% students of the batch based on their CGPA. Students can also receive both scholarships at the same time.
• For B.Tech students, there is a special scholarship scheme under Type A with higher benefits and a different slab structure.

ICFAI University Raipur Merit Scholarship based on past academic record is determined by the percentage of marks scored in Class XII (for UG programs) or graduation (for PG programs). Scholarship amounts range from INR 4,000 for MA programs at the 70–80% tier to INR 1,08,000 for BA-LLB (Hons) students scoring 90% and above. The scholarship continues every semester provided the student maintains a minimum 6.0 GPA in the previous semester.

The total scholarship amount is disbursed equally across semesters — 10 semesters for BA-LLB (Hons), 8 semesters for all 4-year Honours programs, 6 semesters for 3-year UG programs and LL.B, 4 semesters for MBA/MCA/M.Sc/M.Tech/MA. B.Tech follows a separate slab structure that is covered in a dedicated table below.

Type A Scholarship Amount for B.Tech Program

B.Tech students at ICFAI University Raipur follow a separate Type A scholarship slab with higher absolute amounts and a front-loaded disbursement structure. The maximum Type A award for B.Tech is INR 84,000 for students scoring 90% and above in Class XII, compared to INR 72,000 for the 3-year B.Tech (Lateral Entry) program.

ICFAI University Raipur awards Type B scholarships to the top 10% of each batch based on their semester CGPA, over and above any Type A scholarship the student already holds. The award is paid per semester and ranges from INR 1,500 for MA students in the 8.00–8.50 CGPA band to INR 17,250 for MBA students scoring 9.00 CGPA and above.

Unlike Type A, which is locked in at admission, Type B is earned each semester. There are three CGPA bands (Category I: ≥9.00, Category II: ≥8.50 to <9.00, Category III: ≥8.00 to <8.50), and the specific amount depends on both your program and your CGPA band. ICFAI University Raipur scholarship eligibility for 2026 is strictly merit-based and tied to your program of admission. The minimum qualifying percentage to even be considered for a Type A scholarship is 60% in Class XII (for UG programs) or 60% in graduation (for PG programs), with some PG programs capping eligibility at the 70% tier. Type B has no admission-time eligibility; it is earned at university itself by making the top 10% of the batch.

• Type B eligibility: Rank among the top 10% of the batch by CGPA in the previous semester — no pre-admission percentage required

ICFAI University Raipur does not have a separate scholarship application — both Type A and Type B scholarships are awarded automatically. Type A is applied at admission based on your qualifying marks; Type B is applied after every semester result is declared, based on your CGPA rank in the batch.

The only action required from applicants is to complete the regular ICFAI University Raipur admission process before July 26, 2026 — the last date for application submission for the 2026-27 session. The scholarship amount will be visible on your fee statement from Semester 1 onwards.

• Report for the interview and document verification on July 26, 2026 with original Class XII/graduation marksheets (these determine your Type A slab)
• Receive admission decision by July 30, 2026 — the scholarship amount is communicated in the admission offer letter
• Pay the admission fee and first semester fee (net of the Type A scholarship installment) before classes begin on August 1, 2026
• Maintain the required GPA every semester to continue receiving Type A; clear the top-10% cutoff of your batch each semester to receive Type B
