Institute of Engineering and Technology - IET

The Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sitapur, was established in 2005 with the goal of providing engineering and management education. A close interaction with industry and a strong emphasis on research is carried out. The institute, besides the ultra modern infrastructure focuses on improving the overall personality of the students. All the courses are affiliated to UP Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India and State Govt. One unique feature of the Institute is to develop the personality of the budding engineers so that they achieve success in their working and social life. It is compulsory for the students to attend the Personality Development Course along with their engineering education. The personality development sessions are taken by professionals. This personality development programmme will help students to acqure skills and capabilities which prepare them to cope with life's diverse challenges. It will also help them rebrand themselves and emerge as self starter professional in the world of engineering. The Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sitapur, was established in 2005 with the goal of providing engineering and management education. A close interaction with industry and a strong emphasis on research is carried out. Sitapur is a district in the state of Uttar Pradesh in the Lucknow division. The town is situated half way between Lucknow and Shahjahanpur and is 89 km north-west of the state capital. It is about 1.5 kms away from Lucknow-Delhi National Highway no 24. The district is traversed by meter gauge railway from Lucknow to Bareilly and on broad gauge train network connecting Gorakhpur to Delhi via Gonda Auto facility is available at bus stop and railway station and takes just 15-20 minutes to reach the IET.

It offers a huge collection of books on ancient as well as modern architecture and Town.Hostels for students are located within walking distance from the academics blocks. There are responsible and caring wardens who maintain a disciplined and congenial atmosphere in the hostels. Tight security ensures a safe and secure stay in the hostel, allowing the students to focus on their academics. There are separate hostels for boys and girls i.e. 1. Vartika GirlsHostel 2. Dilip Boy's Hostel.Keeping the health of students in mind, the mess provides a well balanced diet to the students. A regular check-up on the quality of the food served is undertaken by the authorities. Extra Evening Classes Extra Evening classes are arranged to help the students.The campus has an all-day cafeteria which ensures good refreshments for the students so that they can unwind after a busy day.A fleet of buses and vans are available to all the students commuting between the city of Sitapur and the campus. The town Sitapur is well-connected by rail and road transport to all the major cities.Academics accompanied with sports ensures an all round development of the students. Facility for both indoor and outdoor games is available. Table-tennis, basketball, football, volleyball etc. are offered in the college campus.
