About Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Ranchi
IIIT Ranchi is a famous higher education institute which was founded in the year 2016. It is a completely autonomous technical institute that was set up as an Institute of National Importance by an act of Parliament in 2016. IIIT Ranchi functions in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode in which the commitment to administrative and financial support is provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India, the Government of Jharkhand, and the industry partners (Tata Consultancy Services, Central Coalfield Limited (CCL) and Tata Technologies Limited) in the ratio of 50:35:15.
Despite being a new college, IIIT Ranchi is progressing towards equalling the nation's NITs and IITs in terms of status, education, and opportunities. IIIT Ranchi presently operates at the campus of NIT Jamshedpur, and NIT Jamshedpur also mentors the institute. The government has allotted an independent temporary campus to IIIT Ranchi at Namkum and assigned an area of 52 acres to construct the permanent campus of IIIT Ranchi at Kanke, Ranchi.
