Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination and has obtained 45% (General Category) and 40% (Reserved Category) in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).

JCECEB:

Every year Govt of Jharkhand conducts common entrance examination for admission in various engineering colleges located in Jharkhand. Students who have qualified and secured good rank in the exam can opt for C. I. T. during the counselling process.

JEE (Main):

JEE (Main) is conducted by CBSE at national level and a student who has appeared in the exam and has secured positive marks can apply. A merit list will be published after the JCECE counselling. 

Intermediate/10+2 Percentage:

The remaining seats after taking admission through JCECEB & JEE (Main) will be filled up with such students on the basis of marks obtained at 10+2/Intermediate. Such students may fill up application form directly in the institute & their selection will be made on merit.

Steps of application to Cambridge Institute of Technology, 2023

The announcements for CIT Ranchi admission begin around the end of February for the courses mentioned above. 

  • The B.Tech admissions are based on the entrance examinations like JEE-mains or JCECEB. The online applications for the same begin from around the middle of April, and the entries take place by July-August.
  • The admissions process for the M.Tech courses begins around March following the declaration of GATE and AICTE entrance exam ranks pertinent to the institute.
  • The MBA admissions begin following the CAT/MAT/CMAT declaration and other AICTE approved entrance exam ranks. 
  • The PhD admissions take place twice a year based on the merit counts, intake capacity and project funding and the NET examination results. The rules and regulations for the same area follow Ranchi University and Jharkhand University of technology (JUT).
