If you want to take admission in the Bachelor of Science (Research) program at IISc Bangalore in 2025, here’s what you need to know. You must have completed your Class 12 (or will complete it in 2025) with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as your main subjects. You should have at least 60% marks (just passing marks if you belong to SC/ST category). Admission is based on exams like JEE Advanced or IISER Aptitude Test (IAT), and you must apply for those exams separately. You also need to apply on IISc’s own website. The application form is available from May 1 to June 6, 2025. The application fee is Rs 500 for General/OBC/EWS and Rs 250 for SC/ST/PwD.

The total fees for the first year are around Rs 30,200 for General students. This includes tuition, lab, library, and other fees. For SC/ST/PwD students, tuition is free, so the total is about Rs 20,200. From the second year onward, the yearly fees will be around Rs 15,200.
