So you've finally made up your mind that hospitality is the right thing for you; now you're stuck between BHM and BSc in Hotel Management, aren't you? I get it - both names sound almost the same. Most students just conveniently choose the course their respective colleges have to offer without knowing what distinguishes one from the other. The emerging colleges for BHM in Tier 2 cities in India are SIHM Indore, Sage University Indore, Rajagiri College of Management and Applied Sciences, IIMS Kochi, IHM Lucknow, Inspire Living Management Academy Lucknow, etc. among others. It is mandatory for you to have passed 12th grade with at least 45-50% aggregate marks. You must also qualify entrance exams like NCHMCT JEE and AIMA UGAT for institutions accepting them for BHM admission in Tier 2 cities in India.

Before opting for a career in Hotel Management or other related hospitality courses you must carefully consider which entrance exam is appropriate for you. Two of the prominent entrance exams i.e. National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination (NCHMCT JEE) and the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) are considered to be the gateway for top-notch hotel management and hospitality institutes. The NCHMCT JEE exam is conducted every year by the NTA for admission to B.Sc. (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) programs at various IHMs in the country. On the other hand, CUET is also conducted by the National Testing Agency, but it is a more broad exam that aids in admission to various undergraduate courses in colleges and universities in India.
