Overall: Campus Infrastructure The Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) campus is massive, with one of the biggest medical centres in Asia. Every department has its own building making it a total of 23 or more and its own laboratories. While there are also several specimen labs, other features of the campus include a 400-seater auditorium, a library, four lecture halls or theatres, one common room and a large sports ground. The CSJMU campus offers hostels for both male and female students, with five UG hostels and three PG hostels for men and one UG and PG hostel each for women. The hostels have all the necessary facilities like water purifiers, clean washrooms, dining areas, beds, chairs, study tables, hot water supply during winters, etc. The canteens serve hygienic food which is also affordable. Academics Numerous courses are offered here in different fields for the students to choose from. From engineering to management, to law, etc. are all available here. The course curriculum is frequently updated to match up with the changing needs of the industry. CSJMU puts more focus on practical-based education. Every department has its own dedicated labs where teachers provide proper training helping in improving our skills. The required study materials are available at the library for further reference as well. Fees The course fees of CSJMU range from Rs 18,000 to 84,000 per year depending on the degree level you opt for. The fees are nominal but the institute also offers scholarships as well to deserving students belonging to the financially weaker sections. Scholarship amounts ranging from Rs 6,600 to Rs 29,000 are provided to the students depending on their merit and need. Faculty The faculty of CSJMU are really friendly and helpful. They make sure to prepare us for the corporate world by teaching proper communication skills, personality development skills and overall gathering enough knowledge on the subject matter. The CSJMU faculty majorly focuses on practical training as it will ultimately help during the interviews. Placements The CSJMU placements have always been good with their students securing job offers from reputed companies in India and abroad. It offers career counselling which acts as a huge help before the final on-campus placement take place. Majorly fields of computer science and computer applications receive the best placements. They get offered the highest packages of Rs 10-12 LPA. Others receive salary packages ranging from Rs 3-4 LPA in the on-campus placements. Campus Life The campus life is good, as the students and seniors here are friendly. They are very enthusiastic and often organise various cultural activities, sports activities, competitions, parties, etc. The annual fest Tarang is one of the biggest college festivals to be organised in the whole of Uttar Pradesh. Other activities include fresher's party Vibhor and teachers day which are also equally entertaining.
